Numbers do though? If this is the case, try a different keyboard. If the keys are outputting different characters, then you should check the character map, oh wait that should only apply to alternate Operating systems, hum, then again XP does have that accessibility thing... Bottom line: If a different keyboard with the same connection works, just e-waste/recycle/trash that keyboard...

How to troubleshoot keyboard issues?

Wireless Keyboard:
If only some of the keys don't work skip to the section Some Keys Don't Work below.
  1. Resynchronize the keyboard. Press the connect button on the keyboard for 5 seconds. Then press the connect button on the receiver for 5 seconds
  2. Change the batteries.
  3. Try reseating the receiver if possible.
  4. Try positioning the keyboard closer to the receiver.
  5. Skip to the section Generic Troubleshooting below.
Some Keys Don't Work:
  1. Check if any of the num lock key, shift lock key, etc are causing the issue. This is especially prevalent on laptops which don't have a distinct numeric keypad.
  2. If it's only the multimedia or hotkeys that don't work then try installing the specialized multimedia keyboard software that came with the system/keyboard.
  3. Try reseating the keyboard and rebooting.
  4. Go into Accessibility Options in Control Panel and check that Sticky Keys, Filter Keys and Toggle Keys are all switched off.
  5. Check if the problem occurs in the BIOS. A good screen to test with is the create BIOS password screen if the keys don't work here then a new keyboard is in order.
  6. Continue on to Generic Troubleshooting.
No Keys Work:
  1. Try reseating the keyboard and rebooting.
  2. Try power draining the system. This can be particularly effecitive with a laptop.
  3. If this is USB try a different port.
  4. Try entering BIOS - if you cannot get into BIOS then the keyboard probably needs to be replaced.
  5. Go on to Generic Troubleshooting below.
Generic Troubleshooting:
  1. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard driver and reboot
  2. Try system restore back to before the problem occurred
  3. Check for malware or 3rd party software that may be interfering with the function of the keyboard.

Alpha keyboard not working

if usb keyboard and local keyboard aren't working i'd check to see if you have a fuction key pressed that disables you from using the keyboard, try restarting, if it solves the issue it was a FN key if not, problems deeper and you may want to look at hardware diagnostics

How do you solve log problems on your calculator

I have no idea what type of log problems you want to solve. It does help to know what you have in mind. To type in the log function log(, you have two ways:
1. Use the keyboard to type it in on the command line APLHA L, ALPHA o, ALPHA g followed by opening parenthesis. Or if you can LOCK the alpha keyboard, lock it and press the keys corresponding to the letters l, o, and g.
2. Press [Diamond key] [7]
The last trick works on the TI92 and TI Voyage 200 PLT which have a full fledged keyboard. Try it anyway, if that does not work you can still use the ALPHA keyboard.
