Stuck at initializing update - Epic A42T Platinum Treadmill

Seems the wifi controller in the printer is fried. This worked for me.
Power on
Press Home button repeatedly while the unit is powering up.
When the menu appears hit these items quickly
1. Wireless Menu Icon (wifi icon)
2. Wireless Menu Button
3. Turn Wireless On/Off Button
4. Off Button

You have about 2.5 seconds to do this so it likely will take a few tries. When you have successfully disabled the wifi, the printer menues will work and the initializing sequence will finally complete.

You will have to hardwire the printer to an ethernet network or use some sort of wifi to ethernet adapter if you want to print over the network but the printer still works.

79 is an firmware error. Try to update the firmware. You can find the file on HP website, on the Drivers and Support section. There must be also the procedure to execute the update.

Try holding down MAIN ZONE on the front panel for more than 10 seconds to initialize and reboot the unit . :)

Here's what I had to do to resolve this...Click on the radio icon that's in the lower right corner of the screen (the wifi icon)...that opens a wifi configuration screen (even when it says initializing update!)...then TURN ON wifi (it was off for me) and connect to my wireless access point...once I did that, the process moved on from initializing update and proceeded to the asset recognition screen--and downloaded more stuff. This process finished and I was able to use the system again!

What i would recommend is for you to reset the device, after you reset the device if you are still having the same problem try to update the firmware...I hope that helps..

You can try to reset the device by pressing the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..if that doesnt work I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware

Please clarify about the player stuck initializing. What model of player is it? Is the device itself stuck initializing or is a firmware update for your device (would be on your PC) stuck initializing?

Initializing is normal - getting stuck on initializing for more than 5-10 minutes [this is after you have downloaded your first batch of 1 million songs (I'm using hyperbole)] is not normal. reset he player, try again. If it fails still go to RCA's support site, or repost new problem here.
