Question about Kohler K-15176-PT-7 Coralais single-control kitchen sink faucet with 10" sp

1 Answer

Leaking kohler faucet

We have a Coralais Single Control Kitchen Sink Faucet that is leaking from the "base" where it connects to the sink. When you turn the handle up, water seems to leak out a little bit and then the water comes out of the spigot. In the past few days, we have been getting more and more water leaking out. Does a specific part need to be replaced to correct this problem or does the whole faucet need to be replaced?

Where the spout pivots on the main body, there are a couple of washers, you can replace these washers pretty easily by removing the handle and then the "cover" from the unit. The water has to be shut off before you do this. I would take this oppurtunity to replace all the washers.

Most cartridge's are specific to their faucet and need to be ordered from the manufacturer. Home Depot or another place like that, that carries Kohler plumbing supplies should be able to get one for you and may even have one in stock. Good luck.

Check under the sink to be sure the weight on the hose isn't resting on something, preventing it from retracting fully into the base. Also check to see if the weight might be in the wrong spot on the hose and not pulling the faucet back into the base properly.

Kohler - Coralais Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet

te leak most likely is the cartridge you need to take the handle off and there will be a lock nut under where the handle was, turn the water supply off and remove the nut the cartridge will pull staight out, cartridges can't be repaired they need to be replaced. Watch out because some cartridges cost more than what the tap is worth

Are you sure the spray handle is allowing the valve to open enough to allow enough water through? The problem it seems like is physical or mechanical. I am assuming you get good water flow through the faucet itself.
