Friend,

It sounds like your printer has a broken media sensor from a previous paper jam, your local HP support should be able to help you.

Why can't I fix a false paper jam on my HP printer?

First, rechargeable cartridges are the bane of many HP models. I have never been fortunate enough to find one that works (and I have worked on many printers and computers over the years).
Second, I recommend that you double check and get some canned air to blow out the carriage and anywhere else you can reach without dis-assembly. Many times there is an extremely small piece of paper or even lint that will cause the paper jam signal to be sent and disable an otherwise perfectly fine printer.

Hp laserjet 9040 printer shows paper jam but i can't found any paper jam

This can be caused by a few problems.
1. dust in printer: get blower an blow the printer out.
2. Paper stuck somewhere in printer: look as error and where paper jam is in and inspect that part of the printer
3. faulty sensor: replace sensor

Paper jam

Hi......................
How to Clear a Paper Jam on an HP Inkjet Printer?????
Paper jams are among the most common problem with HP inkjet printers. Follow these instructions to learn how to clear a paper jam so you can get back to work.

Instructions Things You'll Need
  • HP inkjet printer
    • 1 Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer before you begin. With the power disconnected, you will protect yourself from being shocked. This is an important step when you are fixing any type of electronic device.
    • 2 Move your printer so that you'll have access the back panel. Unhinge the back access panel of the printer.
    • 3 Look for paper through the opened back panel. Remove any paper you find jammed.
    • 4 Close the back access panel. Make sure that it latches into place and looks the same way it did before you opened it.
    • 5 Open the front or top access panel. This is the panel you use to access ink cartridges. If the carriage that holds the ink cartridges moves, then you forgot to unplug the printer. Go back and do that now. Look for paper that may be jammed in this area of the printer.
    • 6 Remove any paper you find jammed here. There will be resistance from the paper feeder, so pull slowly or the paper will rip and create a more serious problem.
    • 7 Close the front access panel. Make sure that it latches back into place.
    • 8 Plug the printer in and attempt to print again. If you can print successfully, you have removed the paper jam.

Hope this will helpful to you...................
Good Luck.............

Having message jam inside rear door and can not find any paper jam

Not all of the paper jam was actually cause by paper. There are also instances that the media is the one that is jammed, causing to display a "paper jam" message.

If you can't find any jammed paper from the unit, you can try inspect the following cause..
1. Trays are loaded improperly or overfilled.
2. Tray 2 or tray 3 is removed during print job.
3. The top cover is opened during print job.
4. The media that is being used does not meet HP specifications.
5. The media that is being used is outside of the supported size range.

Also, try to tun HP toolbox.. on the Paper Jam options, click the Typical Jam Locations... to see the internal paper path and potential jammed locations.

I hope this solve your problem...thanks..

Continual Paper jam HP Officejet 6310

There's a couple things that can cause recurring paper jams. Most often, all the pieces of the jammed paper aren't removed. This video shows you where to look to find all the jammed paper. It also offers some other solutions as well. If the solutions in this video don't work, the printer is likely broken.

Hp Color LaserJet 3500 Paper Jam

The only way to find paper remnants is to unplug the printer and inspect the paper path. It also helps to have a good focusing flashlight, skinny needle nose pliers, a can of compressed air (used sparingly) and a long thin probe. Your specific printer should be giving you jam messages with a location code as well. I?ve attached a link to an HP page containing a diagram of the 3500 paper path and the error code jam locations: http://h41206.www4.hp.com/webapps/IV3/node.iv?locale=en_us&prodSeriesId=315862&node=prodITRC%2FNL_HW_IPG_plakCLJ3500_EN_01_E%2FN1%7C6%7C9&prodTypeId=18972&serverId=1#src I solved this problem in my shops years ago by not letting anyone else clear jams OR insisting that any paper removed as a result of a jam is given to me. If any corners or pieces are missing I know what to look for and approximately where. Good hunting and please don?t forget to rate this post.
