Ensure that the satellite cable is well plugged. Try doing again auto program scan on tv to re-program channels, and see if it takes the sat channel.

    Try the following:

Check the cables first, ensure cable from box to tv is OK.

Unplug TV and sat box power cord to reset both.

Plug back TV and start it with sat still unplugged (or cable out if there is no box) and try browsing channel three , if you do not have channel three, then the TV tuner may be faulty.

Restart teh sat box, and try going to channel three, if it is skipping channel three , and this was working with sat off, then the sat box or the connection cable to tv cable are bad.

Try doing auto scan again to catch up the signal from sat box on channel three.

hi there, plugging and unplugging won't work that way. Pls try This:
1. look for the Program menu of your bell satellite unit
2. under menu you will see the settings there and try to reconfigure it or reset the current program.
3. scan for available channels and save it. i hope this will help you a little. Thank You.

Satellite connection to tv doesnt recognize

At least you know the set does work. I'm also assuming your satellite receiver is working and that all your cables are good.

There are two ways to hook up to the TV: RF (antenna) and the A/V jacks. Maybe the seller was using the RF input (the threaded round connector where you screw on a cable connection, then choose channels with the set's tuner), and you're trying to connect using the A/V jacks (the red, white and yellow RCA jacks). If that's the case you need to switch the TV to those inputs. You may need the original remote to do that if the TV doesn't have a front panel TV/AV button.

The other possibility is you're connecting the satellite receiver to the RF connector and the TV isn't on the right channel (usually channel 3 or 4). If you're using the RF input, have the TV autoprogram and it should find the channel. Most sets can do that from the front panel menu button.

Hope this helps. Thanks for sing Fixya!

How do I install a channel to receive satellite programmes? My model is LE19R8

If you have a satellite and it is connected with coaxial cable put the set to channell 3 or 4. If the satellite is connected with RCA cableput the set on that source the cable are connected to. No need to program the set. Use the cable remote to change the channels just use the tv remote to turn the set on and off and for volume.

If the sat feed is on channel 3, and the TV is tuned in and still does not get the feed, check the feed wire to be okay. If all is okay, there is a possiblity that the tuner module in the set has failed.

No it should not light up. If you can not go into menu and add channels manually or auto program. Then you will have to get a remote to work. You could order original remotecontrols.com.

You should be able to use your remote control to do this.Your channel 73 is more than likely UHF 73 so you need to put your tv in the antenna setting rather than cable setting. Once you do this just input 73 with your remote. Hope this helps! Stargazer
