Hi I'm not an expert onthis model but my avic has a memory card slot . For mine to work i need to download a movie on to the card and install the card into the memorycard slot on the avic. Then i go to the main menu screen on my avic and select video option and go from there to watching my movie. Hope this helps . if so leave leave me a posting response . If not you can still get help. Thanks again.
Right there with you, I have a avic d2 as well. my screen is not working at all. I work on stereos, and can not fix it myself, because Pioneer will not sell the ribbon cable needed to fix it. You must ship the unit to them, and pay $180 for a five minute repair. I used to buy only Pioneer, I have moved on to alpine. Pioneer has gone way, way down hill as soon as they stopped making there product in Japan.
there is a safety brake wire that needs to be hooked up. If it was installed professionally, have them explain it to you. There is not supposed to be any video players in view of the driver while in motion. Stop your car and put on the parking brake. If you installed it yourself, you probably didnt hook up the wire. Look inthe install manual for DVD safety wire.
