Hotpoint Aquarius 1000 WM62 The drum makes a screeching noise when turning ? Any ideas ?

it could be drum bearings or even some thing that has got past the inner drum and is jamed inside hitting the drum when it turns,,,,could also be the motor bearings,,,,open the door and try lifting the inner drum up,,if there is any lift in it then the drum bearings are going,,this will also cause it to screem on spin speed

Hotpoint aquarius 1000 WM62 leaks from the bottom at the front of the machine towards the end of the cycle. How do I fix this?

Carefully exmine the door seal for a hole or split, remove the clamp ring round front and pull seal of front of cabinet and check it carefully, if no sign of leak from seal, then it is going to be leaking from the plastic drum front of washer.
This will entail removing tye front panel.
Hope this helps.

Door won't open

Usual reason for this is not emptied correctly. The filter on this model is in an awkward place so try lowering drain hose into a bowl to check if water still in.

Hotpoint wd420

if the drum is tight to turn ,then the main bearings have probably seized, or their could be something fast in the drum. Remove belt, and try to turn the drum by hand , it shuold be free with no resitance.
If it is noisy or feels rough, then the bearings have gone.
