Question about Cuisinart Grind & Brew DGB-500R, 12-Cup 12-Cup Coffee Maker

1 Answer

I just purchased a dgb 550 series 2 days ago, I was moving it and it is now making a beeping sound and will not allow me to do anything, I have unplugged it and replugged and it still does this I tried to reset the clock and it started beeping.  I've unplugged it and when I plug it back in, it continues to beep.  Can't find anything in the manual about beeping, aside from when it is done brewing or when it turns off due to automatic shut-off.

The constant beeping means that something is out of place - make sure the charcoal water filter holder is in place, even if there are no filters inside. Make sure the grind chamber and all parts are in place. Make sure the filter basket is in place, and that the door is closed. Finally, make sure the lid of the coffee maker tiself is shut and that the lid of the craffe is firmly in place. If everything is in place, it should stop beeping. Turn the coffeemaker off, and then on after all of this is done.

Brewed coffee overflowed on to warmer plate. Now water does not heat and flow and warmer plate does not heat up.

Unless it is an expensive brewer, get a new one. The brewer needs the bottom plate to heat in order for it to work at all. Should be imune getting wet though, but sounds like bad heating element.

Dgb-900 series. Keeps making a snapping sound rather than brewing coffee

used a pointed bottle brush to go up the coffee grind channel to the
burr grinder and kept turning it until I could feel the burr move. A large
clump of compressed coffee beans came out. Have had no problem
since.

Just bought a cuisinart grind & brew dgb-550 and can't get the program setting to work. Tried putting in a time and leaving it and tried pushing the program button after entering the time.

Push the program button one more time - the first push allows you to set the time, the second push stores the time you have just entered, and then you have to press it one more time to make the light next to the program button light up tell it to brew at the set time.

I'm not sure why moving it should do anything but I would pull the plug at least overnight and try it again.
It may have the capability to bridge a few seconds of power interruption without losing settings and this bit of memory may have gotten scrambled.

BTW, reviews of your machine indicate that the customer service is very good so a call to Cuisinart might be worthwhile.

My cuisinart coffee maker DGB-900 series beeps and wont make coffee unless I turn it on and off a bunch of times. The filter basket just keeps turning and clicking. I have cleaned it and checked to make...

Hi,

The machine will not run if the covers /for the coffee grinder, the filter basket and the machine itself) are not properly closed.
It will beep and stop running if it is turned on when one of the covers is open or if one is opened before the end of the cycle. The beeping will stop as soon as the cover is closed.
To start the machine again, press the ON button.

If it still not will operate, head it back to the store.

Hope this will help you

Won't start

DGB-300 - continuously beeping indicates that something is out of place - either the grind basket isn't exactly in place, the filter basket is loose, the water filter holder is out of place, or the lid of the coffee maker is open.

DGB-600BC

I have had the Cuisinart DGB-600BC for a bit over a year. The coffee grinds, and then sometime during the brewing cycle, it will go, "beep beep, beep beep, beep beep..." on and on.

I think I have traced the problem to the latch on the top lid that you open to access the bean hopper. I believe the latch sticks and doesn't close the lid tightly enough. It will appear to be closed, but the latch isn't all the way in place.

So, there is a small screw on the inside of the latch in the lid. Carefully unscrew this, remove the screw, latch, and the small spring. Remember which way the latch faces.

With a warm damp paper towel, clean the latch and the slot in the lid that the latch goes into. Reassemble, and make sure the screw is not so tight that the latch doesn't move freely.

This should solve your problem.
