Question about DBX -215 Home Equalizer

My outlook express email keeps sending old emails over and over again. It's driving the email recipents crazy, please help.Thanks.

    Preconditions :

    sent an email of 2,7MB to 58 recipients, using outlook express on win xp.



    Normal things :

    The mail is sent. Nothing remaining in the outbox, and found it in the sent mail box. We use up-to-date virus and malware software.



    Problem :

    Mail keeps beeing received by te recipients.

Check your server timeouts. The message may have not finished downloading before your timeout stopped and so it has to restart.
Go to OE, Tools, Accounts, Properties, Advanced, Server Timeout and open it to the maximum...

I cannot delete the emails in my draft folder before they send


Disable your internet connection. Start Outlook, Select all of the messages in your Draft box and drag them to the Delete folder.
Just curious, how did your get so many draft message in the draft box?

File in Outbox cannot delete or send


>lets go store location
>open outlook express>tools>options>maintenance>store folder>Copy the location
>click start >run>paste the location >Click OK
>it would open up outlook express data file with .DBX extensions
>lets make sure outlook express closed
>lets rename the outbox.dbx to outbox.old
>lets reopen outlook express> but we will loose the outbox email

Sent emiuals from Outlook Express not received


Try to disable anti virus

or else create new identity

Tools Options > E mail accounts > Mail > Export save ot on the desktop

File > identies add new identity

Open with new identity > Cancel for everything
Tools > E mail acocunts > Mail Imprt and try sending test mail it should work

Emails stuck in Outbox


Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Send/Receive > Clear check mark on "Schedule Automatic Send/Receive every .. minutes" > OK

Close your Outlook > Open Outlook again > Go to Outbox > Select The message > Send To/Move To Draft

Go to Draft Folder and delete it from there

Hello
I havent seen that problem with Outlook Express just with Microsoft Outlook. but this solution should work with outlook express to.
here how you solv it. you need to remove the outbox file manually. remember that all your outbox files gonna be deleted.
step by step.
1.close outlook express
2. go to C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\("alot of numbers here.->"{7850C6E6-099E-4EFD-A3F5-A88CA4FC6169}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\

* if you can find Local settings you need to show hidden files!
a. go to tools>folder options->view-> mark show hidden files and folders-> ok

3.in the map outlook express delete the outbox.dbx or move it somewhere.

4. try now to start the outlook express and the outbox should be empty.

Messege stuck in Outbox


Hello,

Unfortunately this is often due to some sort of MalWare getting onto your computer. I have been able to resolve this many times by use a free program called MalWareBytes to clean the nasty stuff off. Even if you have protection software, there is a decent chance that something snuck past as no program is perfect.

To run a MalWareBytes scan, try the following:
  • Go to www.malwarebytes.org
  • Click the DOWNLOAD FREE TRIAL VERSION button on the left side.
  • In the new window, click DOWNLOAD NOW.
  • The download should automatically start, but if not, click the CLICK HERE TO TRY AGAIN link.
  • When prompted you can SAVE or RUN, though it is often simplest to just RUN the program.
  • Take all of the default options in the installation wizard.
  • After finished, the wizard should update the definitions and open the program.
  • In the program window, make sure you are in the SCANNER tab.
  • Make sure the PERFORM FULL SCAN radio button (dot) is marked.
  • Click the SCAN button.
  • You will be given a new window showing all drives in your computer - make sure all drives you use are checked (external drives, USB thumb Drives, C Drive, etc).
  • The scan can take from an hour to most of a day depending on the speed of your computer and the amount of information you have.
  • Once done scanning you will be shown a screen with all of the infections found - my guess is there will be a number of them.
  • I recommend taking the default action on all of these.
  • You will likely be prompted for a reboot - click the button to do so.
  • During the reboot there is a good chance of a BOOT TIME SCAN - do not press any keys at this time so the scan will occur.
Once you are back up after the MalWareBytes cleanup, try Outlook again and I bet you will find that e-mail will send.
