Ilo Mp3 player

Remove the battery. While this isn't necessary to get the player into recovery mode, it insures the unit will not power on before the cable is inserted. On the iLO, hold the "Power" button down while inserting the USB cable. Continue holding the power button down for 5 seconds more after the cable is inserted. The backlight on the iLO will remain off during this time, making the screen appear to be blank. An hourglass should appear on you computer and Windows should say, "Found new Hardware 'SMTP3500". Launch the Rave-MP firmware update program (Start>Programs>Rave-MP> Firmware) Click "Get Firmware". Select "iLO256" and let it download new firmware. Click "OK" when prompted. Click "Update Firmware". It will now search for the iLO. This may take a while depending on how corrupted the firmware is, so be patient. After it has found the iLO, it will say, "A device has been detected in recovery mode and is being initialized. Please wait." The iLO should come back to life and start showing it's glorious "USB Connected" screen. The "Firmware Update" window should appear. Select "Format Data Area" to rid the player of corrupted firmware data. And click "Start". It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to re-flash the iLO and the program might appear to have locked up, but it hasn't. So don't close the program or disconnect the iLO! Why are you still reading this? Great, did something happen? Well, If the program fails to find the iLO and gives you an error like, "Device Timeout" or something similar, you need to reinstall the iLO drivers. This can be done by inserting the iLO cable into a USB port it has never been plugged into before. Or you can reinstall the drivers by reinstalling the Rave-MP program. (Remove it, restart the computer, and then install it again). Plugging it into a new USB port is the fastest and easiest option though. CD Insert Without pushing a button!

This will not work with a Laptop drive unless it is the slot loading type.
We already have 'Eject' when we right click the CD/DVD drive from (My Computer), which ejects the drive tray. But to insert the tray inside,we have to manually push the insert button on CD/DVD drive.
Another way most PC owners insert that CD tray is by pushing the tray itself. I'm sure nobody mentioned this when you got that PC, but that push to insert feature (Also called the bump feed) is not really safe to use over time. If you happen to say, push too hard because you are in a hurry, the gear which pulls your CD tray in can skip a tooth, making that CD or DVD open and close all by itself, or even worse, making it stay locked tight forever.

5b3ffe0.jpg

Here is a trick that allows you to insert the drive tray without actually touching that button. Simply by putting the 'Insert' sub-context(as shown in above figure) menu on the CD/DVD drives Context menu. For this to happen, we need to use a dll file from our windowssystem32 folder.

First of all, download this file CDEject.zip and extract it. There will be two files CDeject.dll and CDeject.reg. Now follow the step by step procedures.

1. CDeject.dll -> copy this file to X:windowssystem32 folder (here X is your corresponding drive letter, usually it's drive C:)

2. CDeject.reg -> execute it. It shows a warning message, accept that and click OK.

Now try right clicking your CD or DVD drive and click eject, then right click again and choose insert.

Amazingly cool isn't it?

So far I haven't found a way to make the CD hop in the tray all by itself, but I am still hopeful.

And you thought you couldn't program!

Have fun with that!

There are possible causes of this not responding status message you get. you will try out these option i have listed here and see which one resolves the problem. after each one, try to print from a file and from the web.
1. Configure driver to correct printer port
On the 'Ports' tab of 'Printer Properties' window, select the correct port for the printer driver.
From the Windows desktop, open the printer's properties window.
Click the Ports tab.

My Kodak Picture CD will not auto load

If your computer is operating with WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, or WINDOWS NT 4.0 Systems, this CD contains software that automatically launches when you insert the CD. Getting Started:
Insert your Picture CD disc and wait for the software to load (it could take as long as 5 minutes, depending on your machine configuration, CD drive speed, and the number of images on the Picture CD).
Note: This loading process installs some Picture CD program files onto your hard drive. The KODAK Picture CD installer walks you through the steps. The final step may be to restart your computer. If so, be sure to restart to complete the installation.
After your computer has rebooted:
  1. Eject the Picture CD and re-insert it into the CD drive.
    The program should launch automatically.
  2. Click the magazine cover to turn to the Contents Page.
  3. Follow the links to read and do more with your digital photos.
If nothing happens after waiting for the Auto Play, you may need to manually start the Auto Play program. (Auto Play is a program that starts up the CD installation process the first time you use the CD.)
To manually start Auto Play:
  1. Right-click the My Computer icon.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Click the Device Manager tab.
  4. Click the CD-ROM drive icon; click the "+" to view the CD-ROM drive information.
  5. Double-click the CD-ROM driver icon.
  6. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  7. Click Settings.
  8. Check Auto insert notification and click OK.
Note: This enables all CDs to automatically run any Auto Play software.
