The power come on but the harddrive will not boot since there is nothing shows on the screen. The screen is blank, no apple sign, no sping gears. pls what do i do,and my mac os that comes with the system...

With regards to the blank screen, this usually indicates an issue with the hard drive being faulty (hardware) or the OS might have corrupt system files (software).
These are the items you will need before we begin:
A. Mac desktop/laptop B. Mac OSX Installation DVD
A. Software Related
1. Power on the Mac computer/laptop and immediately press and hold the option key. 2. After about 15 seconds of holding the option key, release it and insert the Mac OSX DVD. 3. The DVD should load and display on-screen (along with any additional drives available on the system). 4. If the hard drive icon appears, then click on it. (if the hard drive boots the OS, then the issue is software related. Skip down to Section B, step #1). 5. If the hard drive did not appear, then the system does not recognize it. However, the DVD icon should have appeared, click on it. 6. The DVD will boot and begin the installation process. 7. Follow the installation prompts. 8. Once completed, the desktop/laptop will reboot and after logging in, will execute the registration process. 9. Complete the registration exercise and access the desktop. 10. Perform a software update and download all system and application updates to their latest versions.

B. Hardware Related
Restart the computer and skip up to Section A, step #1). 5. If the hard drive did not appear, then the system does not recognize it. However, the DVD icon should have appeared, click on it. 6. The DVD will boot and begin the installation process. 7. Close the installation application and select "Disk Utility" from the "Utilities" menu option. 8. When Disk Utility loads, look to the left-hand pane and locate your hard drive (if detected). If so, click on it and format the hard drive then reboot and skip up to Section A, step #1. If the hard drive is not detected, then the hard drive has malfunctioned and needs to be replaced.
Hard drive's cost from $40-100 for sizes ranging from 40GB to 1TB. Once the hard drive has been replaced, you can install OSX from the installation DVD.

How to use flash drive

Cruzer Micro is an USB external memory where you can store files.
It is automatically detected and installed on all Windows OS from Windows 2000 onward, same on Mac OS and recent Linux versions.
All you have to do is plugging the device into USB.
After the flash drive had been automatically installed , it will be displayed under Computer as an external disk.
You can copy and transfer files using Cut, Copy and Paste functions, or Send to function in windows, or the file manager, depending on the OS used.
In Windows, before unplugging the memory from USB , it is better to turn off the computer or use the 'safely remove USB' function located near to the clock, on the lower right hand corner.

Just repaired g3 ibook. Hard drive needs formatting, as it has xp loaded on it. Ibook starts up, boot tone, proceeds to load, then screen has a file in the center of screen with the osx finder square face...

With the OS X Installer CD in the drive, try booting your mac and holding down the option key immediately after you hear the start up chime. This will (hopefully) load a firmware boot loader that will show available start up discs. Hopefully the OSX installer will show up as CD Icon. Select the Icon with your mouse or keyboard and press enter to start up with the Installer CD. From the installer you should be able to erase and format the drive as Mac OS Extended before installing OS X.

If the computer still won't boot from the CD double check that it is a retail OS X installer CD. If your CD has "software restore" or "ibook restore" or any other varient of restore written on the label; or if it names a particular model such as "ibook install" or "imac install" it is not a retail copy and may not be a bootable disc. A retail copy will only name the version of the operating system followed by the word install written on it's label and usually have a brief instruction on booting from the CD by holding the C key at startup.

Hope this helps, let me know what happens.

I really need to recover files from my sandisk cruzer

Have you tried this? restart your computer and plug your USB in again(this helps to clean the buffer), see if you drive can be recognized.

If you still can't access the data inside, try this data recovery program Wondershare Data Recovery. Get the program here,

Windows Data Recovery (Windows Version)
Mac Data Recovery (Mac OS version)

Take care - Before those items are recovered, stop saving more files to the device in case the file data are overwritten!
