If it is water in a thru window installation you will need to tilt the unit up a little so the condensate water drips outside. I hope this helps! Thank you and please leave feedback.
Is there a reason not to just go to the Danby site? Support Danby includes phone support, email and "Find Parts" Even if their source is out you should at least be able to find the correct part number, then Google Danby (part number). You could also look to see if generic flexible vinyl tubing/hose can be substituted. It's doubtful that Danby created their own hoses.
Patty, no water is necessary. As it removes humidity form the air while in operation and store is in the tank(s), which will have to be emptied periodically. The unit will/should alert you when the tank(s) are full.
Lorraine, it may be the case of the Drain Tank being full and needs to be drained. In addition, the air intake filter on the back of the unit may need cleaning. Before checking any of the aforementioned, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit.

Yes it can. With the fan running continuously the heat brought over the Evaporator coil will transfer to the refrigerant and cause the refrigerant to migrate absorbing some of the Latent heat at a "very minuscule rate" thus giving you some de-humidification. If you have a variable speed fan it will work a tad better. But overall the de humidification you will encounter will not be very noticeable.
