Question about Miele Novotronic T220 Electric Dryer

1 Answer

My miele condenser dryer has developed a problem. The water collection container light comes on within minutes of starting the dryer (obviously, I have emptied the container). I have cleaned the condenser unit, I have taken the hose out and put it in a bucket to collect but the problem persists. I have cleaned everything I can think of or find. The dryer is 4 years old and has only ever been used a couple of times a week and only during the winter so it is not old in those terms.

It could be fluff blocking or jamming the condensate pump, can you hear the pump running? access to the pump is through a small service panel at the back. it is hard to get the pump out there is a spring latch to releaseit which is hard to find until you know where it is.

Hotpoint condensing dryer model TCFS93BGP. cleanfilter/empty water light keeps coming on after 3/4 minutes

Hi, my dryer has 3 things to check out of which one is more hidden:
- empty the water reservoir
- clean filter in the door
- clean condensor which is hidden below the bottom panel which has to be released through a button behind the door

The last one is less obvious and more difficult to find/reach. Might need to consult the manual.

Did you check all 3?

Hope this helps

Why would the Dryer not heat after an international move from Austrailia 230V 50 hz to Thailand 220V 50 Hz, when programs, air movement, evrything else functions properly?

Your problem is one electric leg has no power. You are getting power for a single need. But you need double that power for the heating need.
like 110. And. 110. Equals 220 Soo 110 is supplying one need ,that needs only 110 But the heating coils need 220 that is where the second leg comes in... Be sure bothe breakers have powers going out. Into dryer

The empty container/pc light comes on after approx 5 mins of drying cycle even when the container is empty

at the back of the dryer there should be a plastic tube from top to bottom ( this is the overflow pipe from the water container that needs to be emptied after each use, if the container is allowed to fill up, the water gts picked up by this pipe and collects at the base of the machine, stupid idea, i know) undo the clip at the bottom and empty the tube, also, with the tube still of, tilt the dryer and if loads of water comes out where u disconnected the tube you just need to get the water out. re connect the tube and bobs your uncle. hope this helps. p.s u may want to remove the top cover ( 2 screws ) and blow down the tube to make sure it aint blocked. when re fitting the tube, dont be scared of bending it to get it back into the slot where it tucks into the machine

Ken from Mecheltec suggests removing condensate sump and pump assembly and servicing it. Clear condensate hoses from lint and debris then carefully reinstall assembly. You should be ok.

Condenser tumble dryer water problem

Took advice...isolated from electricity supply...removed left side panel (side with condenser tank), to access the pump. Cleaned it all out (masses of water and grey lint!) and put it all back together again. Bit fiddly getting the panel back on...no screws left over...result!

All working great now.

Simpler solution maybe...There is a 'trap door' that can be removed, which gives access to the area where the water and lint accumulate.

1) Isolate from electricity supply.
2) Take out the condenser unit at the bottom LHS front of the machine (routine maintenance).
3) Underneath of where the condenser unit usually lives..at the back...reach in and open the 'trap door'. This needs a flat head screwdriver and you must release the two plastic clips holding the trap door.
4) You can now access the area where the water and lint accumulate...which makes the 'float' give a false container full fault.
5) Clean out this water and gunk regularly (once a month)!

Hoping this will avoid taking the side panel off again...
