My windows media player will not let me burn cd's anymore. It says to verify that the burner is connected properly.

I had that same problem with windows 7. I could not burn cds from windows media player and I thought it was a problem with the OS. But when I used an external drive that I use to repair or set up new systems, I had no problem burning cds. So, try another burner and see if that might solve your problem.

Need knowdledge. how to bern cd and dvd

the 'windows media player' program will burn cds if you have a library of music on the computer. when you open the program it will help you look for music files on your computer, and almost walk you thru the process of burning a cd. you can 'rip' cds (record cds to hardrive of computer), transfer mp3s from a device, or purchase music online with the windows media player also.

Try uninstalling your burner and restart your computer. The computer should find it again on it's own and install it automatically once restarted.

I'd try going to "my computer" and right click the CD drive. Then go to "properties" and then to the tab marked "recording" and make sure it is checked to enable recording.

Would like details of external disc drive so can burn cds and put on a mp3 player

An external drive is rather self explanatory. They are all plug and play. There will be no drivers to load just plug it in via usb and u will see it in the "My Computer" option. the PC will start using it after it loads the generic windows driver. U can burn using Windows Media Player.
