I would quit using powder soap and use the HE soap.I would take the soap dispenser out and clean it out and also clean out behind the dispenser.run just water thru machine or try washer magic to clean out the machine.you can find washer magic at most home depots or lowes or even a appliance parts house.

Fabric softener container doesn't empty

Softener dispensers are a "Hot or Cold" sort of proposition. Meaning they work or they don't. Each make is different as to where the water comes in at. Your best bet would be to contact a technician to come out and do a THOROUGH test of the machine.

Moldy smelling clothes

First, clean your washer with one of the front load washer cleaners on the market. (Affresh, washer magic, smellywasher cleaner, whirlaway hot tub cleaner, or Tide front load washer cleaner) Use the longest, hottest cycle your washer has, with no clothes.
Second, rewash the smelly clothes with the heavy wash cycle and a second rinse option, using no soap or fabric softener. This will remove the soap and/or fabric softener build up in the clothes which is causing the smell. Third, begin using one to no more than two tablespoons of HE soap per load, and not more than 1 teaspoon full of fabric softener if you use it. This is because top load washers used up to 45 gallons of water per load, and your front load machine is only using about 12 gallons total. If you are washing a load of bath towels (which were only used to dry off your clean body, not wipe up the floor or something like that) they are not really dirty,...... for washing "clean" towels, don't use any soap, and of course never use fabric softener on towels.

How to wash quilt fabric in the front loader.

You will have to experiment a little, You will use less soap and add fabric softener to the soap. The fabric softener helps decrease the sudsing action of the soap. This is not condoned by the manufacturer, but it does work.

We use a powdered soap and have found that about 1/3 the soap and just less than a 1/2 cap of softener works best. (the soap we prefer is not available in a "he" formula). Mix the soap and softener prior to adding it to the machine. works for us, hope it works for you too.

Fabric conditioner drawer

Try cleaning inside the the machine where the soap dispenser drawer fits into. Sometimes this builds up with lots of soap and fabric conditioner residue and stops the conditioner from going through.
Take the drawer back out and look inside where it goes to see if there is a build up of soap etc...
hope this helps

Soap Dispence problem on GHW9200LW

In applications with low water pressure, insufficient water

portion of the cycle to flush the dispenser.
RESOLUTION:
The holes in the dispenser housing were enlarged to allow
a greater volume of water to flow through the fabric
softener dispenser to properly dispense the fabric softener.

Soap dispenser

Some softeners are too thick, you could dilute this with water before you add to the machine. Note: Your tube to the softener drawer could be loose or something, you could check this by taking the top of the machine off to examine. Actually simple.
