How to adjust brightness of screen while on battery

follow the steps below;
At the right down part of your screen, right-click on your battery bar, scroll to "Adjust screen brightness"
Look down, at the middle of the screen, you will find screen brightness there.

Adjusting Screen Brightness The screen on the Kindle Fire uses more power than anything else, and the brighter the screen, the more battery power it uses. To increase battery life, you can lower the brightness of the display.

Laptop screen is normally brighter when it is connected to the charge adapter. When the laptop is running on the battery it is usually a little dimmer to save battery power, you can adjust the screen brightness even on battery power. To adjust the brightness hold down the Fn key and press one of the function button keys it maybe the F7 or F8 key it will have a symbol on the key to indicate the screen brightness.

Examine the keyboard. There should be a symbol on most of the function keys (F1, F2, etc.). Look for one that looks like a sun or lightbulb, either with an arrow pointing up or with the sun/lighbulb filled in. Hold the 'Fn' key, and tap the up/bright sun/lightbulb key a few times. The screen should increase in brightness.

If you cannot find the specified keys, you may be able to adjust brightness from inside Windows. Right click on the battery icon in the taskbar and open 'power options'. Look for a sun and moon with a sliding bar between them. You might also be able to adjust brightness by customizing your desktop (right click on the desktop and look for the proper menu).

Actually, the problem isn't with the drivers. Right click on the battery icon in your system tray. Select "Power Options" (NOT Power4Gear eXtreme). On the right panel, select "Adjust the display brightness." Then, select "Change advanced power settings." Scroll down and open up the "Display" box. The options that are affecting your screen brightness on battery are "Allow SmartDimmer to reduce my brightness after," "Have SmartDimmer reduce my brightness by," and "SmartDimmer full-screen video mode." Playing with the percentages in these boxes will affect how your screen brightness adjusts itself. To get my screen to stop re-brightening itself, I changed "Allow SmartDimmer to reduce my brightness after/ On Battery:" to 100%. I then changed "Have SmartDimmer reduce my brightness by/ On battery:" to 0%. Finally, I set "SmartDimmer full-screen video mode/ On battery:" to Maximum Power Saving. This should solve your screen-rebrightening problems even with the 163.44 drivers (I use those too). Please Rate.

IF your backlight has not blown (screen will be very dark, hardly see anything on screen) then you adjust brightness in Control panel / power options.
You adjust the brightness for mains and battery power schemes here

Ok on your keyboard there should be some way to adjust the brightness just plug in the laptop and adjust it to what you want then unplug the laptop and adjust it to what you want and it should keep that setting. if that does not work you can check the bios settings some laptop bios' have a brightness option.

Brightness is not adjusted within the windows operating system It is adjusted at the monitor.

Another way to adjust the screen brightness is to hold down the Functin key (blue, Fn) and then repeatedly press the up or down arrows (which also show the symbol for screen brightness on the keys in blue.)
