I have installed the home edition of xp. the office applications

I have tried downloading the same from the cd but it doesnt seem to work or install

It Seems Some System Files are Corrupted or Deleted By Antivirus Application in the Process of Removing Virus from your System ....

Method 1:
--------------
1. Put your Windows XP CD in your CD-Drive
2. Open RUN Dialogue Box From Start Menu
3. Type "SFC /SCANNOW" -- Copy and Paste the Command exactly
With out Quotes
4. Wait Until It Completes everything...
5.Restart and Check your Problem ....

Method 2:

1.Login to your Windows XP
2. Put your Windows XP Home CD in your CD-Drive
3. Click Install Windows XP From Autorun Window.Start Windows XP Autorun Screen if its not opened, by Clicking on the Windows XP CD Drive icon under your My Computer ...
4.Select Same Drive as your Windows XP Now Installed then Select Upgrade Method to Install...
5.Complete Installation and Restart your System ...

  • Please first arrange Legal MS Office CD
  • uninstall MS Office completely
  • Restart your system
  • Run Setup from Office installation CD, Provide CD key when asked.

Backup data and reinstall XP or

Get free AV best out there - http://www.avast.com
Try to install in safe mode if possible. Download from the net in normal mode, go into safe mode and install, tell it to perform full scan. If you can't install, your OS seems too bad to fix. Backup data!

You can downlaod it from this link http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/default.aspx of better buy a installation CD for Microsoft Office on a reatil store near you...

Cannot open excel/word


move your essential files into the other system, check them on that system, look if it will open or no?  it's better to install a .NET framework program before installing the office program, reboot your system, then install ofice again, and check it
