2900 Keeps playing records

Hello,
From the moment I turn on my Wurlitzer 2900, he starts playing records continuously, one after another. Thougjh on the circular disc down under, there aren't ant teeth popped out. When I make a selection, the tooth pops out but the selector always takes other records instead of this one. Also he repeats playing the same set of records as if there the oly 4 or 5 which are in the machine. I ordered the service manual, but it hasn't arrived yet. Kan anybody help me ?
Kindly, Jo

THE WURLITZER JUKEBOX WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY SONGS AS LONG AS ONE OR MORE, SELECTING PINS (THERE ARE 200 IN THE 2900 ONE FOR EACH SONG. THE PINS ARE IN LOWER SECTION OF THE CASE. BETWEEN THE SPEAKERS , AND LOWER DOOR.)
REMOVE LOWER BACK DOOR. WATCH THE ARM THAT STOPS ON THE NEXT RECORD, BECAUSE THE PIN IS UP. AFTER STOPPING ON THE PIN, THE ARM PUSHES THE PIN DOWN. THAT IS THE NORMAL OPERATION. IF THE PIN, IS NOT PUSHED DOWN, IT WILL PLAY THAT OR ANY OTHER SONG THAT HAS A PIN IS RAISED UP. THE PINS ARE THE MECHANICAL MEMORY FOR THAT JUKEBOX.
TURN OFF POWER, ==PUSH ALL PINS DOWN== THE SONGS WILL STOP PLAYING. THEN MAKE A SONG SELECTION. THE ONE PIN WILL POP UP THE MACHINE SHOULD PLAY THAT SONG.
WATCH THE ARM THAT STOPPED TO PLAY THE SONG, PUSH THE PIN DOWN. THAT IS THE SEQUENCE OF THE 2900 MACHINE,
WHAT CAN GO WRONG IS AS FOLLOWS. ==THE ARM DOES NOT PUSH PIN DOWN== THE ARM MISSES PIN== THE ARM NEED OIL, IT IS NOT LUBRICATED.==.

What you describe isn't actually possible so maybe if you looked a bit closer you would see that things are not as you at first thought. The machine will rotate the carousel because a pin has been 'popped' (i.e. a selection was made at some point, maybe days before). It will then play a selection by rotating the carousel until the crank arm underneath comes up against a popped pin. It sounds to me that there are popped pins on the far side of the selection ring (where you cant see them easily) and that they are not being cancelled after being played. This means the machine will play the same selections over and over.

Wurlitzer one more time. no sound and record will not eject

There is a switch just under the tone arm. When the tone arm moves towards the centre it slowly pushes two copper strips together. When they meet it starts the motor to eject the record. If you can't Cancel the record with the cancel button then that is a different problem, otherwise you can adjust the trip switch by inserting a 7mm spanner down the hole to the right of the tone arm post.

Hello,

Have you checked all the fuses or circuit breakers on the jukebox?
Are all the power supply led's lit?
Make sure that all the connection plugs into the boards are fully seated and making good connections.

After checking the above if the fault remains you will need to contact a Wurlitzer service engineer.

This sounds like a problem with a vinyl machine, not a CD....In either case I can probably help you....Please email me at tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com and I'll email back my phone number.

I have a wurlitzer juke box 1965 and it's clicked off free play, it will only now play one record at a time by keeping pressing the reset button.

The free play switch is only supposed to allow one selection on most Wurlitzers. If you email me the model number, I may be able to advise how to put it on continuous free play. My email address is tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

Hello,

I think I can clear things up for you. The free play switch you're referring to is just to add credits. If you want continuous free play, I sell you a jumper plug to bypass the credit unit, commonally called BOAC, if you have a 3600 series Super Star. Please email tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

Is your 3 digit display on? If not, does the Z LED Flash when rotating the record carrier? If so, you may need to have your computer repaired. If the Z LED doesn't flash, check the 12 volt fuse in the amplifier. If you need your computer repaired or further assistance, please email me, Rod Stebelton, tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

First thing's first.
At power up is the turn table turning? Is the drive motor turning? If so then the jukebox thinks it is playing a record. What happens when you press the cancel button on the back of the machine?

You should check the fuses anyway. Make sure they are the RIGHT value or you will just end up frying your jukebox if you get a serious short.
