Won't operate on good battery or plugged in. power supply is o.k.
There are a number of reasons why it won't turn on now that you've dropped it.
Most likely, you dropping it may have broken the power jack solder INSIDE the laptop, which doesn't allow for your battery to charge and which is why you can't even turn it on when it is plugged in.
Additionally, the hard drive may be toast depending on the severity of the drop. Hard drives do not like vibrations, moreso drops from any height. However, this is a secondary symptom since you can't even turn the computer on.
Hard disk is probably damaged - it is the most sensitive part of notebook. Seek professional service or replace hard disk youtself.

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
