Question about Bosch Drills

What do I need to replace the brushes in Bosch Bulldog 11210VSR

I pulled the brushes out of my bulldog 11210VSR and the spring is fastened to the brush holder. There is a connecting cable fastened to the brush holder as well. The way I see it, I need the brushes, brush holders, and connecting cable. If I order a set of brushes from, will I get all of that? It says the brush holder is obsolete and no longer available, hopefully because they automatically come together. Can anyone help? THanks

I would say the brushes were very worn from looking at a picture of new ones. There is only about 1/4" of carbon left or less. There is a groove in the rotor, but I assumed that didnt matter. Thought I'd start with brushes.

Were the brushes severely worn? It's really only the brush that you need to replace, as long as the spring didn't come into contact with the rotor and get worn.

You're right, the groove on the rotor shouldn't matter much, and the holders should be fine.

How do I remove the striker pin on bosch 11224VSR

If you mean the front striker pin you will need to remove the circlip up inside the spindle. You can see it through the two little holes just above the spring.

I have a bosch 11264EVS hammer drill that just stopped working. I checked the brushes and have continuity to the rotor. Is there somethingelse I need to check/replace before I hunt sown a service center?

Did you have continuity from one brush to the other? Some Bosch tools use "pop off" type of brushes. When they get worn down a spring loaded center pops out and keeps you from damaging the armature. If they are fine check cord continuity. If the cord is fine it is most likely the switch. You can test the field for continuity also but those rarely ever fail. Here is the parts diagram.

Anyone know how to remove the brush holder ring on a bosch 11255 bulldog extreme. the ring does not rotate. so i need to get the ring to rotate and remove the brushes.

if its like the ones I worked on you need to pull the brushes up into the tube and you will nitice a small tab on the bottom of the brush holder, push that in and it should lock the brush up and out of the way, the ring then would have to be turned into a somewhat neutral position to unlock the holding tabs on it. Let me know if you need more assistance. I went to and looked at a parts diagram for this tool.

I bought a used Bosch Bulldog hammer drill on the internet some time ago and discovered it's not hammering. It will drill be almost no hammer action. Any suggestions?

There is an o-ring on the striker that will wear down over time, this needs to be changed, of worst case the striker has stuck in the hammer piston. Both these repairs should really be done by a service center as these hammer drills are complicated to repair if you are not familiar with them. Any Bosch service center will be able to help you. Just go to the Bosch website and find a center in your area.

My Bosch Hammerdrill 119vsr (model060119b439) doesn't start. Pulled back to check brushes. Can't tell their do I pull the brush holder ring? Any suggestions w/b apprectiated. BY

You should be able to get the brushes out without removing the ring. Just pull the brush wire off the ring tab, hold the spring up out of the way and remove the brush. When new they should be about 1/2 inch long. If they're shorter than 1/4 inch or are too short for the spring to push them firmly down on the armature, replace them. The brush holder just slips over the end of the armature and up against the motor housing. To remove it rock it back and forth while pulling it out and it will come off. Another thing to check if you drill stopped all together is the power cord and switch. Use a volt meter to check that power is getting to and through the switch.

SDS drill bits slips frequently

Take a look down the nose and see if the tabs 180 degrees from each other that accept the bit are in good condition. If they are it is possible that the clutch is slipping (321/22 and 321/37 fit together to create the clutch along with the ring that 321/37 fit into). Please let me know what you find.

My bosch bulldog wont hammer any more, can it be fixed?

sure it can, is it just not hammering or is it making a noise. If not hammering the o rings to replace cost about 15-20.00 plus labor, if it is making a funny noise then you might have a major problem.

Fixing the springs to the carbon brushers to a 24v battery bosch drill

The brushes come as an assembly with the spring and brush in one unit. If your springs are bad you can order a set of brushes. The part number is 2607034901 and they run around $6.50. If your springs are melted looking there may be an underlying problem with the motor, mainly that there is a short in the motor or even switch. If the brushes are just worn and not touching the commutator bars then it is safe to just replace the brush set and you should be ok. Any questions please post back.

Hammer drill only works when you tap on it with a hammer

Yes, check the brushes on the motor, see if they can be replaced - I don't know your drill, but some can be checked without pulling the case apart - look for a round slotted cover on the sides near the rear of the drill
