What do I need to replace the brushes in Bosch Bulldog 11210VSR

I pulled the brushes out of my bulldog 11210VSR and the spring is fastened to the brush holder. There is a connecting cable fastened to the brush holder as well. The way I see it, I need the brushes, brush holders, and connecting cable. If I order a set of brushes from eReplacementparts.com, will I get all of that? It says the brush holder is obsolete and no longer available, hopefully because they automatically come together. Can anyone help? THanks

I would say the brushes were very worn from looking at a picture of new ones. There is only about 1/4" of carbon left or less. There is a groove in the rotor, but I assumed that didnt matter. Thought I'd start with brushes.

Were the brushes severely worn? It's really only the brush that you need to replace, as long as the spring didn't come into contact with the rotor and get worn.

You're right, the groove on the rotor shouldn't matter much, and the holders should be fine.

HAMMER DRILL . bosch bulldog extreme max hammer sparking BAD and electrical burn smell? How do I get the part that houses the brushes out?

It sounds like the issue with your Bosch bulldog extreme max hammer is likely due to worn out or damaged brushes. Here are the steps to remove and replace the brushes:
  1. Unplug the hammer drill from the power source.
  2. Remove the two screws on the top of the hammer drill handle with a screwdriver.
  3. Lift off the top of the handle to expose the motor.
  4. Locate the brush holders on either side of the motor.
  5. Gently pull out the brush holder on one side of the motor.
  6. Remove the brush from the holder by gently pulling it straight out.
  7. Repeat for the other side of the motor.
  8. Inspect the brushes for damage, wear, or discoloration. Blackening of the brushes is normal, but if they are excessively worn or damaged, they should be replaced.
  9. Insert the new brushes into the brush holders, making sure they are properly seated.
  10. Replace the brush holder on one side of the motor, then the other.
  11. Reattach the top of the handle and replace the screws.
Regarding the digs in the motor surface, if they are not too deep and do not appear to affect the operation of the motor, they may not need to be addressed. However, if they are deep or if they appear to be affecting the motor's performance, it may be necessary to replace the motor.
It's important to note that working on power tools can be dangerous and should only be attempted by those with the necessary knowledge and experience. If you're unsure about any step in the process, it's best to seek the help of a professional.

Anyone know how to remove the brush holder ring on a bosch 11255 bulldog extreme. the ring does not rotate. so i need to get the ring to rotate and remove the brushes.

if its like the ones I worked on you need to pull the brushes up into the tube and you will nitice a small tab on the bottom of the brush holder, push that in and it should lock the brush up and out of the way, the ring then would have to be turned into a somewhat neutral position to unlock the holding tabs on it. Let me know if you need more assistance. I went to ereplacementparts.com and looked at a parts diagram for this tool.

Unscrew the caps, carefully remove the old brush, replace it with a new one that is exactly like the old. Replace the screw cap. Thats it.

Hammer drill only works when you tap on it with a hammer

Yes, check the brushes on the motor, see if they can be replaced - I don't know your drill, but some can be checked without pulling the case apart - look for a round slotted cover on the sides near the rear of the drill
