Drivers for acer 8I945 motherboard ethernet drivers

Can get the eithernet drivers to run on this pc. cd damaged can you help. Went directly to acer site and tried the only one there and did not work is there a generic driver ??? thanks in advance [email protected]

Seller indicates it's just basically a Gigabyte GA-8I945GMF motherboard.......GA - 8 'eye' 945GMF.

Well let's see.............Seller indicates it is used in the Acer Veriton 5800, 6800, and 7800 series of Desktop PC's.

That isn't a 'generic' driver.
It's matched to that Marvell 88e8053 LAN chipset

Perhaps you aren't on the correct driver download page.

Perhaps you did not download AND install the Ethernet controller driver.

Perhaps I do not want Green Eggs & Ham, I am........

Just seeing if you were following along..........

Post the Acer desktop computer model name, and model number.
Also, are you using WinXP?

Do you know how to format or reinstall an operating system? If you do try this, get operating system cd installer and reinstall it. Once it starts, it will run a system diagnostics on your pc to check its integrity. This will enable you to determine which one of your hardwares are faulty. Let me know If you have any question.

You should have a CD on which the Main Board drivers are. this CD normally comes with the main board. If you have not got a CD, drivers must be downloaded from the Web. Copy the links below into your browser, and you will be able to download the drivers.

Trying to get an eithernet driver for this machine

You may be better off adding a new Ethernet card instead since this model has had onboard ethernet problems in the past. I have even had to remove ethernet chips from these PC's just to get the computer running again. Ethernet cards are dirt cheap and quite easy to buy at office max, office depot, bestbuy, walmart and other places.

Hi friend,

This is not posible becouse if you want to use in your ssytem,you need to install eithernet drivers becouse without LAN or eithernet drivers you not able to show or connect the LAN connection.
When you purchase a system ,you collect a motherboard cd ,eithernet or LAN drivers already present in that CD,if you have not a CD,go to cyber cafe and download the approperiate drives .

Need to get pc to recognize the ethernet card!!!

devicemanager-> click on unknown ethernet controller ->update driver->no,.................-> select from list or ........->then click on search after driver....... then check the box that say search floppy and cd... then it should install the driver
