Dell usb keyboard rt7d10, volume, etc buttons not working in windows 7 64 bit.

I found a program here that enables the buttons, you have to put the program in your startup and it will map the 7 hotkeys (7hk) to their functions.

Good Luck!

Dell wireless keyboard - one button controls at top not working

Hi,
You will probably need to set up those keys. If you have an installation disc that came with the keyboard try to install the software.
If you don't try going to control panel and then go to keyboards to see whether you can modify the keyboard settings.

My keyboard had buttons for mail, my computer and calculator and it has a knob for volume...all of a sudden, these have stopped working...

Have you tried downloading the drivers for your keyboard? If you're using windows and have recently cleaned your registry or anything like that, it could have overwritten the special parameters that windows uses to determine what the keys usefulness is.

Go to your manufacturers website and download any software for the keyboard, if it's a standard Microsoft keyboard, try their website for a generic keyboard driver/software package.

If you have any other questions, just ask.

I have an older model Dell desktop. The keyboard

On the right bottom of the screen in the system tray you will find a Volume icon looking like a Loud Speaker. Click it open and up the volume sliders on all the items there. Here also you would find a Mic which would be muted. Un-mute it if you want to use a mic anytime.

Volume up and down keys wont work

It sounds like one or more of the files may have been corrupted somehow. Updating the drivers should have fixed it but if they don't replace the file that is corrupted, you get your problem.

Go into control panel and first check under add/remove software and uninstall the keyboard control software. That will clean out any corrupted files. Then reinstall the drivers and set it up your keys again.

What is KEYBOARD VOLUME CONTROL?

I'm guessing you mean why isn't the volume control working? Well it may be you don't have the drivers for your keyboard. You were most likely given a CD with the drivers on there. All you need to do is put the CD into your drive and install the drivers. If you cannot find the driver CD do a google search for them just stating your keyboard and drivers.

Wireless keyboard and does work

If you go to the Dell website and click on support they can scan your computer and let you know if you have any missing or corrupt drivers. You will need your model and possibly the service tag number which should be on one of the labels on your computer. Dell keeps some of the drivers on their website
