SOURCE: I need help choosing a video card.

Hi there.
Any PCI Express card will do as long as its DDR2, DDR3 is not supported by your motherboard.
You have a choice between ATI or Nvidia graphics cards and your system should support up to 1GB of graphics memory.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

SOURCE: Can I My motherboard support a PCI video card?

Hi there.
Your motherboard will support both kinds of Video card.
PCI is quite old and is only supported up to 128MB of video memory.
PCI Express is new technology and is by far the best card that you can buy giving you the best graphics experience and can support up to 1GB of graphics memory making it good for gaming.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

use your PCIE card to boot-up from CMOS, then check your onboard vga, try to configure it by 1st boot is your onboard, if that wont work then maybe your onboard vga was already damaged, better to use pcie video card rather than an onboard because it lets you consume the whole amount of your memory unlike the onboard card.. Is 1GB graphics card compatible with intel 946gzis motherboard?

The Intel D946GZIS is capable of supporting any PCIe 1.0 x16 graphics card. It can also support a PCIe 2.0 x16 graphics card, but the overall performance of that card will be halved.

Memory in a graphics card does not affect compatability.

Good Day, I have 3 motherboards (Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2). My problem there is no display the onboard VGA, there is no beeping when i get off the memory. I tried the AMD AM3 Sempron 140 @2.7GHz and AMD AM3...

Have you updated the BIOS for the motherboard? AM3 processors don't usually work correctly in an AM2 board without a BIOS upgrade. Also, did you remember to check the BIOS to see that it was set to use the onboard VGA? Likewise when you tried the graphics card (set to PCIe)? Another thing to do is plug the monitor in a known to be good computer to make sure it's working OK, perhaps a monitor setting is misconfigured.

Driver download epox mf4 j3

try to use (know the driver you need) box. If you still can not find the driver you want, find the chipset on the motherboard based on the media you like driverguide.com or you can try one by one driver with the chipset on your motherboard.

I am using AMD 6400+ with M2N VM DVI WITH VGA card GT8600 1 GB but my graphic doesn't support what is the problem please tell me.

Your problem may be your in the wrong slot. My m2n board has 2 pcie slots. One is an X8 and the other is X16. Your card may be in the wrong slot. The blue one is the X16 and the black is X8. If you are using 2 PCIe cards the X 16 slot will only run at X8. Hope this helps.
