Question about E-Machines Emachine T5026 power supply ** FREE SHIPPNG ** (EM12EB324PIN) Power Supply

EMachine T5026 no boot

If you push the power button it just lights blue for a sec. If you hold in the button, it flashes blue and the two fans (cpu and can exhaust) surge or cycle. I have green light on psu and mb. There is the main power connector and a 4 pin connector that goes to the mb, if I disconnect the 4 pin, the fans come on and run, but of course no boot because of connector being removed. I cannot even gen a memory error, pulled all data connectors, power conns and won't even beep. The puter was running fine before that. Thankx for any help.

I encountered exactly the same problem. I replaced the power supply with one bought from CompUSA for $19 and the machine boot up after that.

I have a T5026 EMachine won't power up. Green light on motherboard is on , could it be the switch , tried putting a new power supply box in it.

to see if the power swithc is the problem-

first, try to isolate the wire that connects the power switch to the motherboard. once you have deternined where the power switch plugs, then remove the wires from the motherboard leads and try to short the leads by connecting them with a metal device like a screwdriver tip. if the switch is broken, it will boot when shorted with the screwdriver. if it still will not boot, then you probably need either a new motherboard or a new cpu.

In my opinion you have a faulty power supply, replacing only the fan may not solve your problem. Try replacing the power supply.

There can be two problems with your PC. either the power supply is faulty which is highly probable, and the other is that your Motherboard maybe faulty or both things are faulty. Try replacing the Power supply first. It should solve your problem.

I just had the same problem. Try replacing the battery on the motherboard, that seems to have fixed mine. The number on the battery is CR 2032.

Computer will not turn on

Best way to check is to open your case. Near the power supply plug to the motherboard should be a little led light. If it is getting power to the board this light should be green. If it's unlit then most likely your power supply has gone bad. Hope this helps.

Power Supply

Check all power cables plugged into M/board if these are correct
remove all hard ware
hard drives / cd player and anything else
except for video and memory and test to see if it boots. If it does, one of the removed hardware is faulty if it does not then you have M/board failure
