SOURCE: VX922 20" LCD problem

Look at the main power board. Near the black plug that goes to the audio board you will see a round metal disk with the number 100 on the top. This is a 100uf capacitor. In all likelyhood this is the problem. We recently had 12 go bad at work and we fixed 10 of them by replacing this cap with a $1.29 electrolytic cap from Radio Shack (this cap looks different but works the same). Just remkove the old one and surface solder this one in (pay attention to polarity +leg to + mark on board;)

SOURCE: No display, green light on ViewSonic VP201b 20.1 LCD

I have two broken VP201 monitors with different symptoms. One was black screen green light - like yours. The other was purple speks flying all over the screen., purple tint.

I swapped the power supplies and display boards, both monitors had original problems. I swap the inverters and the monitor which was black screen now appeared to work okay - but slightly pink and the monitor which was purple speks is now black screen.

I would therefore assume that both my inverters gone, one being on it's way out. You probably have the black-screen case.

SOURCE: veiwsonic VA1912WB flashes then goes blank

Hello,

You have a very common problem that happens to many LCD monitors after 2-3 years of use. Your monitor has blown the power supply that controls the backlight bulbs. Go to our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and look at the pictures of what blown capacitors look like. Open the back of your monitor and replace any of the parts that look like the ones in the pictures and you should be back going again. Be sure to usehigh temp (105c) replacements. Resolder them in with the side polarity stripe going the same direction and the old one came out. The values of the bad parts will be marked on the sides of the ones you take out, they can be ordered online from us or several other places, the one from Radio Shack are not suitable for use in the high heat inside on the monitor and will soon blow again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

If you have more questions just ask.

How do you set the minutes on the clock?

There are two ways to set the clock on your coffee maker. 1- When you initially plug in the coffee maker, the unit will beep and "12:00" will flash on the LCD display for a few seconds. Press immediately the h/min button (o) to set the current hour. If "12:00" starts to flash, press the PROG button (n) for a few seconds until the "12:00" flashes again. Then press the h/min button (o) to set the current hour. There are AM and PM indicators on the top right side of the LCD screen. To set the current minutes, press the PROG button (n) and then press the h/min button (o) until the correct minutes appear on the LCD display. After 5 seconds, the unit will beep and the time will stop flashing. 2- At any other time, you can set the clock or change the set time by pressing and holding the h/min button (o). The unit will beep and "12:00" will flash on the LCD display. Use the h/min button (o) to set the current hour. There are AM and PM indicators on the top right side of the LCD screen. To set the current minutes, press the PROG button (n) and then press the h/min button (o) until the correct minutes appear on the LCD display. After 5 seconds, the unit will beep and the time will stop flashing. Notes: Your clock has now been set and will continue to keep the correct time, even after the coffee maker has been shut off. Unplugging the coffee maker or a power failure will reset the clock to 12:00 AM. Repeat the instructions above to reset the clock

Screen Display stays on after several times of turning off and on

Hello,

The most common cause of this is a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. If you can do a little soldering then the repair is easy to do. You will need to replace the bad capacitors and then the unit should be as good as new again. Here is a link to additional information on which capacitors you will need to replace.

I have VE710b monitor,i turn on monitor display dim.after 10 minute it coming good bright ness.

It seems to be the problem with the lamps inside the LCD screen. You have to replace one or both of them. You have to observe in what part of the screen is brighter, and how it changes in time.

No display on Viewsonic VA1912wb

Your monitor sounds like it has gone bad. Cost for a repair is not worth it, a new one would be cheaper. Prices have gone down a lot in three years
