I just moved into a new home and the air cons are kelvinator r51k bgce and it won't turn on when i use the remote and the batteries are working?

pull up the front cover the grill looking piece , not the air out louvers , there maybe a little button , push that in if air con starts up , then you remote sensor may be faulty or the remote itself .

Power light blinking And no cold air coming out

most units have a diagnostic plate on door or manual that will tell you what blinks mean. steady blink is normal on some units.

My motion light on the garage comes on everytime my central air compressor kicks on outside my house.New 4 ton unit 1 year old,is this a short in the light problem or something else?

Hi,
No it is caused by the power fluctuation when the voltage drops from the compressor starting up...

You may have a bad connection from the power Co. power line or too light of wire coming into the house.

Power went out and tried a couple of times to come back on. Once it finally came on the indicator light is blinking yellow. Do you know what the problem could be?

Please remove power from the unit and allow the processor to reset as it seems that it has hung up. Also press down all keys on the pads to drainoff residual voltage on the circuit.
Now connect the plug back after few hours and check.
If the fault recurrs then it is possible that the is a failure in the circuit due to the power outage.
Need to check if the compressor/fan is faulty .

Had a short power outage now the unit will not run. breaker ok and 234 volts to outside unit but inside unit will not come on. is there a reset or something

Try turning the unit off at thye meter box or the isolator switch out next to the outdoor unit of the air con. Leave off for 15 minutes and then switch back on again. Some Air cons get screwed up with power surges... Leaving off at the mains for a while often resets them. If the air con was running at the time the power went off, it may have damaged one of the electronic boards... Do you get any flashing lights or displays showing what could be an error code ??

No power to white rogers thermostat

Hi,
Either you blew the fuse on the air handler control board or you burnt out the air handler transformer.
The thing that blew the fuse is probably the contactor in the condenser unit. You will need to check out out cause of the outage before replacing the fuse or transformer.

We had a similar problem. The timer light would blink 3 times, pause, then blink 3 times again, pause, and so on. The fan was blowing lots of air out, but the air was not cold. The operation light was off.

The technician came and fixed it for free, since it's actually easy to fix. He went to our circuit-breaker box, and cut power (from the box) to the air conditioners for 30 seconds. Then, he restored power - problem fixed!

It's apparently because the air con goes into a "safety" mode when there's a power surge.

Blank screen sounds like a fried thermosat. Abrupt outages can affect certain types of thermostats. Make a jumper wire and jump across R and G. See if you get any action from anywhere. If a fan or compressor kicks in you know you have a burned out thermosat...
