Its the ribbon cable which connects the faceplate to the main unit.
The bad thing about these types of receivers, is after a lot of flip downs and flip up, the wires in the ribbon cable get weak and break.

If you want to fix it yourself:

I had this same problem, and was able to fix it myself.

Best of luck!!

We have a 24DMC split air conditioner and it will not start up. The green light on the wall unit flashes 3 times followed by the orange button flashing 3 times. Can u please help?

A repairman just left and the problem is, I think resolved. The solenoid on one of the mini-split units was malfunctioning. It was telling the units that it was open and functioning but was actually not working for one of the two units, and caused the main unit to shut down. Once the problem was isolated and the unit fed by the faulty solenoid was shut down, the other unit functioned perfectly. So we now have half of the cooling for the house, but better than none, until we can get the part and install it.

Only half of my actual screen image showing on my monitor, Factory reset messed it up in the first place so that didnt help any

Thealfords03 Hi I had the same problem but luckily I was able to fix it. If you press the menu button down for 10-15 seconds The OSD lockout scren will go away and you will have access to the regular menu. When I did this I noticed that on the menu screen, all the menuoptions would become highlighted one by one as if I press the " - " button on the monitor. This gaveme the conclusion that the button was the culprit. The button was not stuck because I could press it and it would go in and pop back out. So I removed the base plate (3 screws) and then I found that on bottom 2 corners you will see a **** on the black inner plastic (use a flashlight) Stick a flat tip screwdriver there and gently pull the black frame out. Once you do that you will gain access to the panel that hold the 4 buttons. Remove the plug and separate the board with the buttons from the black plastic base by prying the plastic clips back. If your faulty button is the " - " button like mine then gently pry the metal cap thats on the top of each button until you remove it ( If done carefully you can replace it by pressing the metal plate back on) Once you remove the metal plate you can remove the actual button. Look down to locate a thin copper concave circular plate. I used a metal polishing paste to shine the copper concave plate on both sides once shined place it back in the button and put the button inside then press the button downto ensure the button goes down and pops back up. If it doesnt then gently press the middle of the copper plate with the tip of a screwdriver and try it again. If the button goes down and pops back up you can place the metal plate over the button and press down to fit down in place. Reassemble and this will fix your issue. I was so glad I got rid of that annoying OSD lockout white screen once I did this technique. Good luck and post something if it worked for you!

When i turn on my digiweigh dw 100ax scales F--H appears on the screen how do i fix that and calibrate the scales when done

I thought the scale was just completely broken, I was able to fix by doing the following.

1. turn unit off
2. hold down the on/off/tare AND the MODE button.
3. The unit will come up with a bunch of numbers on the screen. Release the buttons
4. Press MODE once, you will see "100" flash on the screen. if you don't press the button a second time.
5. place 100g of tare weights on the scale.
6. Press MODE button again. After this my scale said PASSED and shut off.
7. remove tare weights and turn device on. It should now register properly.

In my case. the scale was misregistering the 50g weights as 75. I shut it off. I pulled up ever so slightly on the scale plate on the hinge side of the plate are repeated steps 1-7.

I have no idea why they don't have a 3 part calibration on these.

It is working like a charm now!

My Garmin keeps shutting off. And when I do get

These units seem to be suffering from a bad connection on the inside of the unit. My wife's did the same thing. There was a connection inside that wasn't making contact. First try cleaning the 4 brass connection tabs on the watch and check your charger to make sure the tabs are raised and not squished. Second try to reset the unit. Hit mode reset and power buttons all at the same time. Hold these for 3 seconds and then release. If these do not work here is what I did. There are no screws holding the unit together. I used a exacto blade to very carefully pry the unit apart along the side seam. It's not easy to do. Be very cautious and gentle. Work the thickness of the blade into the joint to gently wedge apart. You are not trying to remove material! Once apart you will see some fingers that make a connection between the upper and lower part of the unit. This is where the problem was with my wife's 305. I gently raised these tabs to make a better connection, It's been working ever since. I didn't try it before but try pressing very hard on the unit where it says Forerunner 305. The case is very hard so it might not work. But if it powers up when pushing you found your problem. Hope this helps. Here is a link I found on opening a 205 (Same process) To put the unit back together use Automotive silicon/gasket maker. Use a tooth pick to put a VERY small amount of silicon around the entire seam. Put the two half's together and wrap tightly with electrical tape. Test the unit immediately to see if it powers on and off. If it does not open it back up and raise the small prongs that make the connection from the bottom half to the top half. If any silicon squishes out the sides wipe with water and a rag. Let the unit sit over night. In the morning remove the tape.

Stuck on Standby

Do a hard reset. Unplug it from the socket, the DVD and leave disconnected for 4 hours. This may or may not help, but it is a necessary step to restore all internal software codes to their factory settings.

Hope this may help;

Kenwood KDC -X969 Won't power up

Try pressing the reset button when it slides halfway open. It's a little hidden on the main button panel at the bottom. You'll need a pencil or something to press it. This usually happens to me when it's too cold and I have the panel angle set to full down tilt on my 879.
