Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

1 Answer

We are experiencing this irritating F 11 CODE problem. With no warranty left,it is very depressing to know what we have to do in order to fix our very expensive WHIRLPOOL washer. Tried calling whirpool but same run around answers as all these other customers. I cant believe WHIRLPOOL dont give a "rats ***" on the F 11 situation. Very dissappointed custumer from Hawaii. Shame on Whirlpool.

Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly.

Potential Causes

• Check Wire Harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU) (its the
usual thing)
• Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components
• Check MCU
• Check CCU
• Check Motor
• Check Wire Harness

Replace failed component

How do I fix that irritating squeaking noise?

More than likely an idler pulley assembly issue. Best bet is to order a replacement. You might as well replace the drum belt too since it means a complete disassembly of the unit for proper access, cleaning and repair. If you don't have the know-how it's best left to an experienced technician.

Cook top beeping and dislpays E 11

This just happened to me a couple of minutes ago. Nothing would turn it off--even when we flipped the breaker switch, when it came back on, the beeping continued! While I was doing an internet search on it, my husband fixed it--apparently a bit of food directly on a button and the system interpreted that to be someone continually pushing the button. He wiped the control panel and it stopped.

Note to Electrolux: Please don't pretend that error codes don't exist! Rather, put a key to what each code means in the user's guide that comes with the range! This is the second time we've had a code error and it's extremely irritating to not be able to find out what the issue is quickly. It's costing you (Electrolux) money because I WILL call a service tech to come out here. I'm still under warranty so there's no cost to me. I advise you to change your user's guide and also have a key to the error codes that is easily found on your website.

Note to everyone else: If you're under warranty, let Electrolux deal with this. It's only when they realize they're paying more money for trivial service calls than for fixing the problem in the first place that they'll change it!

11- no start since battery disconnected.
12- battery has been disconnected recently.
22-Coolant temperature sensor, bad connection or faulty.
44-signal to smec (engine computer) was interrupted, or is not present.
55- is end of codes.

What exactly are you experiencing as far as starting and driving goes.
The only code I see right now that I would worry about is the coolant temperature sensor, if you are experiencing poor running, starting etc.
The signal to smec, may have been a one time thing, if vehicle runs.

Pop up flash will not work in low light conditions. Neither will it pop up when depressing the button at left of the lens.

This can be caused by the plastic gears binding or being broken or the motherboard needing a fix. Unfortunately it means a trip to the repair depot. It is covered by warranty if you still have any time left.

F 11 code

The electronic control board is damaged. It needs to be replaced. I think its Part#8182237. As of this date, it is on back-order. Check your warranty book on this part, it is highly expensive. It may be covered under a 2-5 yr. part only warranty.

C2 Centurion - won't light

I guess from the manaufacturer or retailers point of view, fixing it yourself would void the warranty as there isn't much you can do without dismantling it more than is necessary to fit batteries.

Zanussi JetSystem TurboDry JD12191 - HELP!!

Just 11 month! Do not try to fix it, jet. You have 10 days warranty left. I hope you have your buy ticket/invoice/recipe call service center as soon as possible! In case your warranty expired, there are many probable causes of the failure. You need to give a more detailed description of the problem. It is probable that you can find the user manual in the manufacturers webpage. Or google "your model"+manual Good Luck!

Mouse Problem

What you are experiencing is normal wear and tear of the mouse button that is used the most. This is a common issue with mice made for computer manufacturers. Most likely issue is that after 2 years of clicking, the depress switch was actually pushed into the plastic molding below. A new mouse would really be the most effective use of time and resources. I would recommend a high quality mouse from logitech (a g5 or g7) would significantly increase hand comfort, response and posture. Their warranty period is also top notch. Hope this helps.
