ASUS ElanVital T-10 Classic ATX Full Tower Case

Elan Vital t-10 questions

By Bomber - usenet poster

I was looking at this case, and it looks nice, but it looks like the fan
on the PS blows IN, not out of the case.. does anyone have this case,
and which way does the PS fan blow? Also, It looks like there is a vent
in the back directly over the I/O ports for a second exhast fan... what
size is it? 6 or 8 cm?

Thanks

The T10 is made by ASUS (They own Elan Vital as I understand), and made
exactlly to fit the P2B or I forget the earlier LX, and BX models.
Apparetnly they ship with two different power supplies, the Sparkle Power
ones blow out. Anyone know who makes the ones that blow in? Or are they
Sparkle's as well? On my BH6, the mounting hole in the corner, closest to
the keyboard/mouse connector, does not line up to be able to put in a screw.
Anyone else have this problem, or irritation should I say...hey its the
small things...like holes not lining up that really bothers me. But again
thats the only hardware problem I have with the whole system..not bad eh? :)

Consider going to #

I got that case for like $74 and it included shipping!

It might be listed under Asus or Aopen or something
like that. But just look for T-10.

Also, you can get 4 screws with nuts, washers and rubber spacers to mount
them
for under $2 at a hardware store. I prefer this method, because there is no
cage
to restrict airflow. Also, you won't need to drill any holes, they are
already in the fan-housings,
and are in most cases (even ones that use cages, like my T-10AB).

Mine came with an SPI (Sparkle Power International) 235W power supply.
The fan blows air out of the case.

8 cm.

FYI - There is another 8 cm fan mount at the lower front of the case.

Just got a T-10 2 weeks ago, and on mine, the PS blows in. I'm thinking
on reversing it to blow out.
Fans are standard 8cm. The best ventilation is to suck from the front
(low) and blow from the back (higher).
Do not set the back fan to blow out if the PS fan is sucking, or it will
suck in hot air.
Ah, the fan gages! you will need a second fan cage. They are the same
used on some Compac computers.
I got mine from a store in Austin, TX: # (email or
call them: they have it).

David,
I bought a T-10AB several months ago. I really like the case. It was
extremely
easy to install all my parts. (Abit BX6.2 fit perfectly)
The P/S fan on mine blows out. It does have room for 2 additional fans..
One in the front and one in the rear. I set mine up with the front sucking
air in and
the rear blowing air out.

Hope this helps,
Steve
