After the TV has warmed up it clicks off. From then on it clicks off each time I turn it on. I had this problem with an earlier TV. Seems a standard problem. Any help? Thanks.--Michael

Sounds like a flyback problemto me i have a tv here at home that does that. My repair book says to ajust the screen pot on the flyback. Let me know if you have any idea of what a flyback is in a tv and if not i will tell you and try to make it whare youcan understand how you can fix this yourself.

Turn LCD tv on but picture does not come on straight away - it's as though it needs to warm up - after turning on and off several times for about 5 minutes the picture comes on

it is possible that the ballas on your tv is week and not sending enough power to turn your tv set on, you may need to replace it if this is the problem, i can recoment to pay attention to any strange mechanical noises on you tv, like buzzing or clicking sounds if so you may need to replace it, I can recomend a page called discount-merchant.com for your parts

Tv clicks off

You most likely have dry joints. If you are not competent with soldering and electronics, you should take it to a qualified repair person. They should not charge you more than £10-15 for repair.

Tuning in takes ages whilst warms up

IF your TV is not one of the real old ones, you have a problem with the automatic tuning system. Some component in this circuit most likely a capacitor or coil is changing its electrical properties due to temperature which in turn causes the set to be off frequency until it warms up. A capacitor (condenser) can do this quite often. Stargazer
