Have a stack washer unit. The orig prob was a clog in the drain screen. Everything was working when we set the washer in place we had it leaning and when we streightened it up I heard a tinging sound like something falling on metal. like a scree maby. hooked thing up and the drum wont turn. it is locked solied now. any ideals, could something be between the drum and the housing to lock the drum

Thats odd for sure, i would check if perhaps something has gotten in one of the inner baskt holes, preventing free spin.

My washer does everything but final spin and drain

Hello Mathew Smith - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the pump, door lock assembly or timer. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Washer will not drain or spin, but will do everything else.

Need to measure the voltage on the drain valve and motor during the drain and the spin cycle. If there is no voltage then the program controller is not outputting and so can be a faulty in the unit.
If there is output to the pump/valve then it is possible that the pump is clogged or damaged.
Clean / reset or replace.

The washer on my double stack won't drain or spin.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Without a complete model number, I'm guessing but usually, washers have a lid lock built in that prevents the washer from draining or spinning unless the lid is closed.

If the lid lock is defective, the washer probably won't go into spin mode.

Check yours for the lock, where it attaches and replace it. It's probably not too expensive.

pump is clogged. slide out unit about 4 feet and tip back. you should be able to see pump to remove. Drain as much water you can before doing anything.

Washer won't drain -- clean the pump

First I would try to flush the pump, if the tub is still full of water. To flush the pump, take a garden hose sprayer and fit it tight into the drain hose. Give it a short shot of water, then stick the drain hose back into the drain. Put the washer on spin and see if any water comes out. You may have to do this more than once to clear the pump. If that does not work, siphon the water out of the washer and disconnect the hose from the pump to the drum. Clear the hose the best you can, pour a little water into the drum to check it. Check the pump too, take it apart if you have to.

Washer will not drain on spin cycle, water stays in machine

you might have a broken pump belt go to www.repairclinic.com enter model number and scroll down to the red 100 click it and start looking for the pump part number 1480330. You'll have to lean this thing back far enough to see if it is your belt or maybe even go through the back of it.

MLE2000 front load washer

Hi..I had the same problem yesterday...the maching would start when I pushed the button and then stop..I had to push the button again to get it going..My stacked set is around 8 years old.

Here's what we did..moved the washer away from the water source and unscrewed the water intake lines..there is a little screen there...took the screen out of both hot and cold lines..one screen has some debris in it..the other was almost completely blocked..we are on a well and sometimes dirt..etc..gets in the lines..

Today no problems doing the laundry..its working like new..

Check if your belt is tight enough. There should be a "give" of half an inch, or it is too tight or too loose.
