Save file into a .ZIP file then un Zip the file and it should help to change things or print reports. BUT, ALWAYS BACK UP A COPY OF YOUR FILE FIRST.

Enter transactions for closed financial year

Do a backup before you try this.

Go to File - Start a New Year - Start a New Financial Year. Continue through the next few screens until you see the Current financial year and a box showing the New Financial Year. Say your current financial year is 2013 and the New Financial Year shows as 2014. Change this to 2012 and then continue through the screens til the end. Then check your financial year under Setup - Company Information, you will find it now shows 2012. Enter the transactions you need, then go through the process again to change to 2013.

This is an undocumented feature un-supported by MYOB. Try with caution - not aware of any serious consequences but a few I know have done this.

Changing your system date and opening MYOB is a sure fire way to get locked out. MYOB records the date each time you open it. If the date goes backwards, it locks you out. Part of their protection.

Myob optimisation gives error in database 3000 5049 even on file that opens ok

MYOB suggestions
It appears that you have a corruption in the data file. This can only be corrected by the technical support team at MYOB. You will need to give them a call. At this time of year you could be on hold for quite some time. From memory a repair of a file is an additional cost to your MYOB subscription.

Another alternative would be to restore a previous backup and ensure that the backup does not have the same error and reenter the missing data.

'Print error #5'

MYOB requires that you have a default printer selected on your computer system. If no printer driver is installed, when opening a company file, a printer error #5 is displayed.

Highlight your Printer and go to File on then Menu bar/Set as default.and Turn off user account control if you're using vista. It's in your security center in the control panel. Turning this off should fix the printer error 5 issue .

HI, I have been using MYOB PLUS version 11 on a PC for 6 years. I just got a MAC and thought that MYOB First Edge was the right program. In fact it doesn't open up any MYOB PLUS files at all and MYOB...

FirstEdge was designed with your small business in mind. Whether you use Mac OS X or Mac OS 8.6-9.x, you can:
  • manage your sales, receivables and GST obligations
  • track your bank accounts
  • job costing and profitability
  • store your contact information
  • print professional-looking invoices — all from the one easy to use system
it should all work fine on your new mac!?

If your mybo plus version was a mac version also, you would be able to network the program on to both computers.

How do i export data from excell to myob i have the 2003 microsof

Hello,
You are going to do the opposite.
Not exporting from excell to myob but to import data of excell from myob)
You might need to save your excell data as an older office 2000 or office 97 version or even comma or tab sepperated file so myob could read it, it depends on your myob version and if it possible.
Thank you for using agadycom.
