Hp pavilion a6300f downgrade to xp where can i download the drivers

You have to find the XP drivers for each individual component since HP doesn't want you to downgrade to XP. Your specs can be found at:

The chipset drivers can be found here: 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i&By=NVidia&SS=Windows XP
I can't get that link to copy over, so typ everything from http until =Windows XP in your address bar.
The HP site doesn't seem to be component-specific on any others, but If you know what Win XP is trying to install, but can't find the drivers for, google those, and a few more dowloads later you should be golden.

Dell Dimension 2400 OEM Win XP OS installed. Problems started after installing SP3. Then it needed 28 critical updates. After reboot I had errors with "shell32.dll and had lost part of my right click...

After remoting into system, noticed that updates.exe was still running in the task manager. Ended updates.exe and downloaded and installed Service Pack 3 for Windows XP. It installed, customer rebooted. Advised on a few maintenance tips for restore points, etc. Skip was a pleasure to work with.

I have a code puple on my HP PC a350n..HP says they won't fix it. I thought there was a law suit about this and they Have to fix it. But, I just want to know if ANYONE can.

Code Purple is about the weirdest error you will see reinstalling XP, and it is almost exclusively an HP/Compaq problem.

These companies placed a special system identifier on the motherboard by a process called 'tattooing', and the system recovery routines look for this signature before allowing the install.

It is actually quite easy to bypass this signature check. Here are two entries from an online thread expaining how:

Code Purple can be bypassed by accessing and renaming the file to run.p_. The file is found at c:\hp\bin\configcheck\"

To access the "C:" drive to rename the file:
1. Boot the system with a Win Xp Original Disk.
2. When you have to select "Enter" to reload or "R" for Recovery Console select "R".
3. Select the "H:\minint" Drive to bring up the System
4. At the "H:\minint" prompt, change to the "C:" prompt
5. Change directory to the "C:\hp\bin\configcheck"
6. Rename the file with the command "ren run.p_"
7. Reboot the machine and there should be no "Code Purple" error.

The full thread can be read here:) Note how far it goes back!

Please post comments on your progress and results or contact me for more instruction on how to accomplish this.
