When i turn on the ps3 the homepage will not show up

1.Put your PS3 on standby.
2. Unplug the power lead.
3. Connect HDMI cable to HDMI out on PS3 and HDMI in on TV
4. Connect PS3 so that the red standby light is showing
5. Hold down the On/Off button until you hear a second beep. The PS3 will try and detect the display output settings on your monitor.

This key code is found on your router.
It is the wireless security code.

You need to go to your router manufacture website and get information on how to get to your routers homepage via windows.

Once at the routers homepage find your wep or wpa key and enter it into your ps3.

The best solution is to send it in for repair at 150 $ to sony (2 or 3 weeks)

if you feel adventurous you can try the following, but remember it voids your warranty and you can damage your PS3 permanently. Do this at your own risk

To fix the problem with the PS3 not working on Netflix after the 3.72 update you need to RESET Netflix app on the PS3, Reset NOT Reinstall.

To do this trick, do the following:

1.Start the Netflix app from the PS3,
2.Immediately as you start the app hold the Start and
3.Select buttons together.

When you sprayed the air, maybe it got inside the PS3 and blasted the laser and damaged it. Or the air blew dust all over the laser. If you do decide to check the laser.

DO NOT EXPOSE TO LIGHT-BRIGHT LIGHT.

faulty laser need to send to sony if ur warrenty is good it costs less but if it is not it costs arounf $150 U.S.

Same thing happened to my first PS3 about a week after i got it, called SONY tech support to troubleshoot but did not work, they decided to send me a warranty replacement, I havent had an issue with my new PS3. I recommend you do the same.

lol this was just my problem a few min ago and well i thought that it was a waist of my time trying to figure it out if you have games that you want to keep the game files then what you do is take out the hdd and just turn it on if it doesnt work then you turn it off and then wile turning it on hold down the power button for a few sec until you hear the double beep then you let go and then there should be a new screen and on that screen it says to plug in the ps3 controler and push the ps button, after that just restore your system and it should work properly, i on the other hand deleted everything cuz alot of the files were corrupted. but now it works fine
