Question about Bushnell Optics

1 Answer

Can a chipped lens be replaced

I have an older Bushnell Spececraft 11 Bushnells telescope standing in a tripod. My dog knocked it over and something rattled inside. I unscrewed part of it and I see the lens has two chips in. Ijust want to know if the lens can be replaced on this model.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Mrs. Waterston

I have a Bushnell Telescope model # AG-78-4306 I need the part that attaches the tripod to the telescope

Telescopes and other things designed to fit on a tripod usually have a female thread and the attaching screw is part of the tripod.

If there is no female thread it isn't designed to fit on a tripod and an adaptor will be required. If it is available it will have to be sourced from the manufacturer or an optic specialist.

If it was mine I would have a brief look through Amazon/ebay and if no luck I would fabricate something myself.

Brother knocked our telescope over & jarred it out of alignment. how to realign?

This is a refractor telescope that normally never needs collimation (optical alignment) More than likely the focal tube got knocked out of alignment or the diagonal mirror was shifted. I believe the objective lens is glued in so there is little you can do there. Pull out the diagonal and focus tube, check the focus tube for roundness and that it moves in and out smoothly. If the diagonal mirror looks skewed to the eye, find a cheap replacement on EBAY.

I have a Bushnell Nova model 783035n, but no manual. I don't find it on Bushnells site either. In fact, can't find much on it anywhere. Wonder why? Can you help? Thanks

This is a simple refractor telescope 60mm.

Here are all of Bushnell's manuals. All refractor telescopes work the same way.

Where is the battery located?

All of Bushnells manuals are on this web site:

Here is your manual:

Their is a battery door on the base of the telescope, looks like it takes a small square 9 volt battery.

I recently bought a used bushnell reflector telescope that is missing a tripod mounting bracket and screw, can you please tell me where i can find one?

You cannot find parts for that very low cost telescope. You can buy a tripod but the cost will probably be more than you paid for the scope.

Here are tripods:

Next time do not waste your money on these types of telescopes. Instead save up and buy something like this:

On the Tripod leg one of the clip that keeps the leg up is brocken and idea where i can get a replacement i live in tampa fl

Bushnell has a warranty web site where you may be able to get that part:

http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-warranty.html

OR a well stocked hardware store may have something that would also repair the tripod leg.

Bushnell 700x76

Just got a 78-8831 and set it up according to instructions. After inserting lens into eyepiece, I can't see anything at all. Dont worry, I've removed the front cap from the the main telescope.

Something leads to believe I'm either missing something real fundamental or my telescope is broken. Please help
