Re: power and no lites in refrig/freezer; beeping
Depending on age of unit, the problem may lie in the light bulb, well the door closing anyway, the newer unit s actuall will shut down all interior lights, in the evnet that teh door is left open for more then 2-3 min, so its possible that a light switch is not being activated so the uit thinks the door is open and has shut down the rest of lights, cooling however does continue normally.
Side by Side Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Top to 40W bulbs burnt out at the same time but the bottom veggie light still works. Switch at top right side of fridge toggles the bottom light but the top lights still don't work with new bulbs??

The light bulb on the water/ice dispenser on our Kitchenaid Superba side by side refrig needs replacement. Easy! Right? However it is screwed in so tightly and the location is behind the panel is so small, it it very difficult to get a grip on it to unscrew it! We,ve tried rubber gloves, WD-40 and an Exacto knife(w/ fuse turned off!) and still cannot get this very annoying light bulb out!! Does anyone have any ideas or can we remove panel it hides behind to get to it!!!??? Thanks for any info on this should be simple issue!! Susan M
I don't know if you have an ice maker but when my ice dispenser is full my fridge beeps because the ice can no longer go into the tray because it is full so I have to empty the tray. and the beep stops it also beeps when the water filter needs changing. I hope this helps
Replacing Light Bulbs To avoid electrical shock which can cause severe personal injury or death, disconnect power to refrigerator before replacing light bulb. After replacing light bulb, reconnect power. To avoid personal injury or property damage, observe the following: • Allow light bulb to cool. • Wear gloves when replacing light bulb. Fresh Food Section (style of light shield varies) 1. Slide clear light shield toward back of compartment to release from light assembly. 2. Remove light bulbs. 3. Replace with appliance bulbs no greater than 40 watts. 4. Replace light bulb cover by inserting tabs on light shield into liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide shield toward front of refrigerator until it locks into place. Do not force shield beyond locking point. Doing so may damage light shield. Freezer (style of light shield varies) 1. Reach behind the light cover. 2. With firm pressure, press forward on the notches at the back of the cover and pull down the cover will open from the back. 3. Remove the cover. 4. Remove light bulb 5. Replace bulb with appliance bulb no greater than 40 watts. 6. Insert front tabs of light cover into slots in freezer liner and snap rear portion over light assembly until rear tab engages.
change the filter. to do this recover the freon(gas), remove the filter , replace it by new one; do the vacuum and then charge again. Work must be done by a certified technician. do that at your own risk
