Cannot see 3d view

I can see my floorplans in 2d, but when switching to alternative view, the 3d picture flashes on screen and quickly disappears. It's only visable when I have my left mouse button pressed.

I have the same issue of the 3d view disappearing and only appearing when the mouse is clicked. I'm running Vista 64 bit.

I had the same problem and I called tech support and they said the problem is with your video drivers in Windows Vista. You have to change the compatibility mode the program uses.
Right click the Desktop icon that starts the program, then click on properties, then click the compatibility tab, then put a check mark by the XP entry, then look down in the same window to the settings and disable Desktop Composition, click apply and then OK. This worked for me.

I had that problem too using Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) but then realized that it was my basement floor I was trying to display. It is underground with an elevation of -8 ft!. Once I made stuff above ground (greater than elevation 0 feet) it stayed visible. Hope this helps.

Hi Keith, have to tried to install and run in compatibility mode? If this does not work there are 2 free alternatives. They are DraftSight and DoubleCAD XT. Both of these are LT clones and offer pretty much all that r2005 had except 3D, Lisp and ARX. If 2D is all you need have a look at these. If I had to pick one I would go with DraftSight as it is a closer copy to AutoCAD.
Again try WinXP compatibility mode and see if that works.

I'm having the same issue. I have version 15.0.02, and I'm running on a Asus laptop with 64bit. Whenever I switch to 3D view, the screen goes black unless I'm panning the view around.

Using certain cad programs, can not see my work?

You don't mention the program so I can't tell you specifics but generally 2d such as autocad want a Heidi driver or a newer direct-x. 3D cad such as solidworks can be very picky what video cards they will work with. Generally direct x or open-gl must be supported along with minimum ram and certain chipsets being required.

On your menu bar, select, "Document," and under that you'll have the option to extract or insert pages. Go to the page you want to remove, select, "Document," then, "Extract Page," and check, "Delete page after extracting," if you no longer need it. If your new floorplan is already a PDF document, simply select the page you want the floorplan inserted after, insert the page and select, "After," from the pop up screen, and the page will be inserted.
