Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player

1 Answer

Everytime i connect my ipod it downloads about half the songs onto the ipod, then a error message of -69 comes up, which I've read up on saying its a corrupt file...with over 4,000 songs how am i supposed to find the corrupt one? Also, the Ipod freezes when this happens and I have to wait for the battery to die before i can try anything again. Is it the ipod or the itunes?

To find out what file is bad and will not upload onto your iPod, this Support Page from Apple tells how you may find the corrupted file:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1210

To perform a reboot on the iPod instantly, hold down the Select and Menu buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears while the iPod is re-booting.

There are some mp3 songs that you can add to the iTunes Library but not to the iPod
This is a format issue i believe
if this its your case you should try to get again the mp3 or burn it from th CD again an then try to upload to the iPod

Error 69 on 30gB ipod video

Unfortunately whoever first started telling people that their files are bad and they need to delete it from the iPod is just wrong. Here's how you REALLY fix it: Restore your ipod, making sure to place it in disk mode. Wait for the ipod to sync, and when it starts freezing on a song, rapidly tap or hold play/pause until it starts syncing again. Your iPod isn't timed correctly with the computer and that's that's the reason for the error. pressing play will kick the iPod in the *** and make it line up with the process on your PC. You're all welcome in advance.

Downloading

You need to use itunes as your music management software and ipod management software. You can download the latest itunes version at www.apple.com/itunes.

From here you can purchase items through the itunes music store, or add your own music by adding files from your computer, or putting a cd in your computer and coppying it into itunes so you can put the songs on your ipod.

Hope this helped,

Nathan.

Music on iPods with different s/Nos. mixed up

Connect iPod to computer.
Open up iTunes.
Click on the icon on the left sidebar of iTunes that says "iPod Nano".
Click on the Music tab.
You will notice that at least one folder has been set to "Sync music" - the songs in these folders will be automatically loaded onto your iPod everytime you connect it to your computer. I would suggest separating the music folders that you use and the folders that your wife uses on your computer itself. Then, you can sync only the songs in your own personal folder.
Alternatively, you can disable the "Sync Music" option altogether by unchecking the box.

Whichever choice you make, you will now need to manually go in and delete the songs you don't want.
You can do this by clicking on the Music icon underneath the iPod Nano icon on the left sidebar of iTunes. Find a song you no longer want on your iPod, right-click the song, and select delete.

Good luck!

What kind of error message are you getting? Have you tried restoring the factory settings from iTunes? (that will erase the contents of the iPod though)
