My Black Jack II ring tone files are corrupted and will not play
When I try to change the ring tone on my phone, I get the error message:
This ring tone file is corrupted or unavailable. Please choose a different ring tone.
I haven't changed anything on my phone and the only tone that will play is the AT&T tone. ALL of the files are supposedly corrupted and will not play, even the tones that came with my phone. What should I do to fix this?

Possible that there are errors in your software. so remove the battery and memory card. scan your memory card for virus or corrupt files. If not format the card. Now reset and start the phone , if there is no change in your tone settings, the the software needs to be reinstalled.
Please make sure that a recently downloaded music file or ring-tone has caused this breakdown , if so remove the file and try once again.
You can change the text message alert tones but you have to do it by accessing the phone's file system via a data cable connected to your computer. Goto lg-vu.com and search for text alerts and you'll find detailed instructions on how to do it.
Try the following instructions, to personalize your Nokia E50! Profiles Warning: In the offline profile you cannot make or receive any calls, or use other features that require network coverage. Calls still may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. To make calls, you must first activate the phone function by changing profiles. If the device has been locked, enter the lock code.
Select Menu > Tools > Profiles. You can adjust and customize the ringing tones, alert tones, and other device tones for different events, environments, or caller groups. To customize a profile, scroll to the desired profile in the list, and select Options > Personalise. Define the following settings: • Ringing tone — Select a ringing tone from the list, or select Tone downloads to open a bookmark folder containing a list of bookmarks for downloading tones using the browser. To listen to the selected tone, select Play. If you have two alternate phone lines in use, you can specify a ringing tone for each line. • Say caller's name — Activate the text-to-speech ringing tone feature. When someone from your contacts list calls you, the device sounds a ringing tone that is a combination of the spoken name of the contact and the selected ringing tone. • Ringing type — Select how you want the ringing tone to alert. • Ringing volume — Select the volume level of the ringing tone. • Message alert tone — Select a tone for received text messages. I found the answer!! Go to Menu>Settings>Profiles, then go to Options>Edit. Push the right side of the square (that you use to navigate the menus) so that you're working with New Messages, not Incoming Call. Go down to Message Alert Tone, then go to Options>Change>Use Effect Tone. If you were trying to use an .mmf that you downloaded, or any of the preloaded ones that can be used as incoming call ringtones, you'd go to Use My Alert Tone here. There are 4 tones under Use Effect Tone, and you can play them and choose one, just like you do to play and choose your ringtone.
Well firstly,..make sure you have downloaded some songs via Bluetooth to the Sd card.
Then select setup.
then go to Ringer alert Style.
Then click edit.
then ringtone line 1,..click on the lil blue/white file folder.
A screen should come up saying select ring tone,..scroll down to more,..and click more
click my audio
click my audio again, scroll down to trans flash,..which is where any bluetooth downloaded ringtones, songs, go too.
select what you want from your downloads, click insert
then click save.
You can also do that for mesages
Hope it helps
