I just spent two hrs at the ATT store. The customer service guy actually ended up looking online at a website like this to fix my settings so that I could get internet. He said since the phone came from China its settings are not set to US settings. He was very helpful.

I just got the phone and when i try to send sms or mms it tells me gprs not subscribed but i have messaging as part of my phone service package.

If you are sending sms ideally it should not show anything like you require GPRS. But for sending MMS services you require MMS services activated and MMS settings on your phone. Some service providers need GPRS to be activated if you want to send MMS and some needs MMS services activated. Please call customer care and ask them regarding MMS Services and activated a good plan then try to send Messages. I believe this solution will help to resolve the issue.
