Question about Maytag MDE7600AY Electric Dryer
One of the baffles in my MDE7600 electric Maytag dryer is loose (actually one side came off). How do I fix it?
Take off 4 door screws 2 right 2 left remove door pull front forward them two screws 5/16 in front with two brackets that hold top down. thats it just rotate drum and tighten or replace fin . ten minutes tops is all it takes.
my fin broke the screw holes so i will try longer screws if not i will leave off and run with two.

On this model you will see 4 phillips screws in the recessed area when the door is open. 2 on each side. Take the 2 on the right out and then the 2 holding the hinges to the cabinet. Remove the door and then pull the front panel off by pulling toward you. Then you will see 2 screws holding the top down. 1 on each side near the top. Remove these and the top will lift back resting against the wall. From here you can get to the baffles. Good luck and thanks, Rick

SOURCE: short baffle is loose
You can pop the top with a drywall putty knife there is two tabs on each side. This will allow you to access the drum. Then tighten the screws holding the baffle in place.
