Question about Craftsman Heavy Machinery
The pull string to start the engine keeps locking up. Ill pull it a little bit out then it will lock. Ill let it loose and pull again and another 2 in will come out then it will lock again etc. i can do this until the whole string is out then let it wind back up but it will do the same thing again. How do i fix this problem?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Singer 7442 Bobbin Will not wind
to wind a bobbin you get thread and put it where it usually would be put it behind those 2 metal piece (see pic in manual) and there put it around the thread guide and then u put the tip of the thread through the hole of the top of the bobbin from the inside to the outside and u are really to start, u should already have the bobbin and the spinning metal piece, then u move the metal piece to the right into the notch and press the presser foot and hold it until it stops you and you're done :-)

SOURCE: Bits will not lock into chuck
First I would go to Makitatools.com and download a schematic for this tool. But it is pretty simple to remove the rubber dust shield and plastic collar to look for debris and proper movement in the chuck assembly. Make sure also that you are using the right SDS bits in tool. You should be able to push the bit into the collar and twist until it goes into and locks. Let me know and I will help further

SOURCE: Pull string locked up
check oil , if you didn't have sufficiant oil you may have blown the motor up . try turning mower up and turnning blade by hand to see if motor is froze. if so you can kiss this mower goodby ,or at least the motor. sorry .by the way maybe you would want to check the oil in your car before you blow it up too

Possible the fuel was too lean or something managed to enter the piston area through the air filter and locked it up. Possible scratching on the piston.. Time for a new trimmer.
