SOURCE: Singer 7442 Bobbin Will not wind

to wind a bobbin you get thread and put it where it usually would be put it behind those 2 metal piece (see pic in manual) and there put it around the thread guide and then u put the tip of the thread through the hole of the top of the bobbin from the inside to the outside  and u are really to start, u should already have the bobbin and the spinning metal piece, then u move the metal piece to the right into the notch and press the presser foot and hold it until it stops you and you're done :-)

SOURCE: Bits will not lock into chuck

First I would go to Makitatools.com and download a schematic for this tool. But it is pretty simple to remove the rubber dust shield and plastic collar to look for debris and proper movement in the chuck assembly. Make sure also that you are using the right SDS bits in tool. You should be able to push the bit into the collar and twist until it goes into and locks. Let me know and I will help further

How can I replace the ignition lock and the drivers door lock on a 1993 300zx?

You will probably need to drill out the center of the ignition lock cylinder to remove it without the key. Start with a small bit and make sure you drill straight into it and then use a little bit bigger drill bit. Keep doing that until you can turn the key lock cylinder and you'll be able to remove it.

The spinning device (the filament cassette I think) through which the cutting strings are attached has detached from the trimmer's stick. How can it be put back again or reattached?

There should be a knob that goes on AFTER the string spool that holds it on. IF the issue is it keeps turning when you try to put it back on, then on a machine with no clutch, the engine will need to be locked up. To do this, remove the spark plug and wire, pull on the start cord until you see (with a light) the piston go DOWN in the cylinder...then insert a length of soft, clean rope into the cylinder and this will lock it up when it tries to turn again.Parts on end of the machine are:

1. Bump Knob 2. String Spool 3. Spool Spring and finally 4. String Head Housing

When pulling the string to start the weed eater it feels as it's locked and won't pull out more than an inch I have set it to full choke half choke also primed it nothing works how do I get it...

If this is a 2 cycle engine , which most weed eaters are, then it sounds like probably the piston is locked up inside the cylinder. Try taking the spark plug out. if it still will not pull out then take the recoil cover off. There should only be 4 screws holding it on. Once you get that off see if the string pulls out of recoil if it does then check to see if you can turn the crank on the engine. If the recoil string does not pull over then that needs to be repaired or replaced. If the crank on the engine will not turn over by hand then your engine is siezed. If you take the covers off to expose the exhaust there are 2 bolts that hold it on take those out and look inside. If you see vertical scoring on piston then your machine isnot worth fixing

Hi! Error dE1. Dear, Boris From Russia

Code de1 came up, on my big wash. DE1 means door error code 1, which I think is door not locking. (Judgeing by previous posts). The door didn't electronically lock (clunck), so me and the wife took the top off to have a look inside. Could see the door locking mechanism, (brown plastic) and the orange override manual opener. Turned off power at plug (don't want to electrocute myself) Pulled the orange cord about, that didn't do anything, still error code de1. My wife with slender arms got her arms down there and a connector came off. She could get it back on, so she pulled the drum outof the way, and I got my arm in and put the connector back into its point. (It can only go in one way. So if you have problems, you may be putting it back round the wrong way.) Power back on at plug and it started straight away, door locked and everything seems to be fine, it is now washing away merrily. So it turned out to be a loose connection. Lastly the orange manual override pull, took us ages to put it back, idea, tie a long bit of string to the pull at the bottom, so you can easily retrieve it back down the hole.

When i lock the tuning locks the guitar is out of tune within 3-5 minutes of locking, then when i try to re tune it the strings snap. whats the problem?

I am not familiar with your model of guitar, but I assume it has a tremelo system. Usually when a string breaks at the nut like that, it's because the metal piece that locks the string is not smooth, has a burr on it. It could also be that the lock is holding just well enough that when you bend a string it is slipping some but doesn't go back all the way. Try just totally unlocking it and playing a bit to see what happens. The friction may be wearing on the string where it contacts the lock. I am assuming it is breaking near the nut/lock area, is that right? Or is it breaking at the bridge end?

How to undo and change the cutting line

You need to start from the beginning of the trimmer string. Remove the entire spool. Insert the start of the line through and wedge it into the little groove to keep it from coming loose. Now wind the line tightly and neatly in the direction shown on the spool. (it should provide an arrow stating to "wind this way". As you near the end of the line, keep it snug and push the end through the hole where it leads out to the cutting zone. As you re-insert the spool into the housing, make sure it stays tightly wound as you lock it into place. This should help. Usually when your string is too short, you tap the **** (bottom) of the spool on the ground to advance the line. It should feed a bit at a time, and when you hear it getting cut off, you should stop advancing the line.
Hope this helps.

I can't start the car!

Try turning the steering wheel a bit when using the key. The steering wheel lock puts pressure on the lock cylinder to keep the wheel locked. If this pressure is high, it can keep you from using the key.

Lawn mower died. Pull rope locked up

remove the spark plug and try to pull the rope. Sometimes the coil can get loose and wedge against the flywheel. if that's not the problem then pour a little oile in the spark plug hole, let it set a bit, if it still won't turn over then you have an internal engine problems. Not very common but it can happen
