More than likely it is a FUEL PUMP that is failing or a Clogged Fuel Filter.

When the pressure is releived, the sediment will settle and allow you to start again but then get blocked again and repeats,,

SOURCE: xj6 3.2 1994 lpg

if you use lp and loose power it is a problem with the lp regualter, this acts the same way as a fuel pressure regulater on a fuel injected vehicle. you need to have this replaced. please rate this thanks

SOURCE: LPG probs

How close to the exhaust is the supply line as the lpg supply line should be cold until it gets into the regulator not warm.Is the supply line heat shielded as it enters the engine bay or getting a full dose of exhaust heat?Is it the vapor injection gas system or the old style. What regulator and system are you using?OMVL ?sprint gas or other cheaper variants? It really sounds like a fuel delivery issue as you are not getting the volume of gas required at higher speeds.Commodore engines have issues with thier water system having air bubbles that cause air locks in the regulators by the time youve jumped out of the car to check for freezing it appears to be fine. You may have restrictions in the lpgas filters/locks.The water hoses,2,should be hot so hot you cannot leave your hand on them and if not freezing of the reg once again becomes the issue. Also the water hoses must be fitted in such a way that the top hose is suction and the bottom hose forces water into the reg, this is done to assist in eliminating potential air lock problems. To sum up your symptoms are consistant with poor water ciculation.

SOURCE: started car running on petrol for 5 minutes with

could be number of problems but often this is caused by valve on the inlet manifold which is electricaly operated and then it allows the gas in but it is also vacumn sensitive so a perished rubber pipe could cause it not to sense the vacumn .best advice without seeing it is to visit a mechanic that is conversant with LPG conversion

Testimonial: "Have already booked in with an LPG mechanic. Just wanted a bit of heads up so I knew what it might be. Many thanks for prompt response"

Holden statesdman 1994 VR It is on PETROL AND GAS will start on petrol but keeps stalling when switched over to gas is good

I assume this is dual fuel.... LPG and gasoline??????? Is cooling system full? If so, probably plugged filter on LPG convertor. If you are not knowledgeable with LPG, get someone who is. LPG is highly explosive.

Gas tank will not fill up on 2001 ford expedition

Gas as in gasoline or gas as in LPG gas? If its petrol, the fuel sender may be out of adjustment. (Usually means a new sender) If its LPG, the fuel stations are set to automatically shut off at 80% full. The gas tank will never actually be full to the brim but the gauge should be showing full if the gas nozzle keeps shutting off. Have a look on the LPG tank itself, they have a little gauge on them which shows how full it is. I have 2 tanks on my car , when "full" or when the pump shuts down, the tank gauges show just under full but the gauge on the cars dash shows full (2005 BA Ford)

IF you are on lpg then check that the gas regulator for icing up and stopping the liquid LPG from turning to gas. If it cuts out on petrol check that there is not a problem with the petrol shut off solenoid . Check the LPG cut off solenoid . I suspect a loose connection or wires to either or both or faulty units
