Hi,

When the PC is switched on; can you hear any beeps? and please count the number of Beeps and let me know.

Also, does your PC have an internal graphics card or external. Either way sometimes the Graphics card might be faulty. do you have a spare Graphics card to test with?

I hope this helps,

Thanks.

System fan cannot be detected in MS 7352 V1.0

Hello here is the homepage:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3459272&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3459270&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093

The bios is set to give a warning when the system fan is not working or goes dead (in this case it probably isn't detected or has gone out). You should be able to get into your bios and look for items such as "processor fan warning: on/off" "system fan warning: on/off...etc. If you turn the system fan warning to off it will resolve the problem you are having. The fan for the cpu, must be connected to the CPU_FAN connector on the mainboard.

If the problem is still there, replace the fan, and renew the thermal paste, between the cpu and the cooling element.
Clean also the pc out for dust, with compressed air.

BE CAREFULL when you work on the mainboard, and please take antistatic precautions.

Visit also a computer repair shop, if working on the mainboard is unfamiliar to you.

Good luck

1. Check if fan is spinning. If not, replace with new one or check cables.
2. Check if there are no swapped fan connectors when reconnecting mb cables.
3. Check BIOS update on HP website. Choose your OS here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3339287&
4. Check for a BIOS setting for disabling the fan monitoring.
5. Install a monitoring app which reports fan speeds and temps. See http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
6. Check if CPU fan works.

if you download and install tune up 2010, it may fix your registry automatically for you however if it fails to, your operating system will continue to fail to shutdown or keep causing your system to hang at the f5 window which is the one your describing. Device drivers are very well known for causing this error and if you have installed a new device and your computer is not picking up the new device properly, then the computer will not shut down. There are several forms of viruses that cause the system to stay on, power problems may cause the system to crash during a storm and thus damage the computer registry. A system defragmentation, cleanup, along with a registry clean would be the first best ideas.

Computer will not come on loud sound from pavillion repeats it self. The fans will spin and the blue light on pavillion comes on. moniter screen will not come on the power light is on

On some computers, when you turn it on, the fan starts to run at 100% of its speed, i.e., very noisily.
Then, when it is detected that the computer is functioning, and _not_ over-heating, the fan will slow down, and quiet down.

So, what is the nature of the "loud sound" ?
Continuous? Beeps, in some pattern?

Take the computer to a qualified technician, for better trouble-shooting.

Hi

Thank you for your query

Please try the folowing

1) Remove ALL wires and then press and hold the power button in for approx 20 seconds

2) Plug everything back in and then rerty

This may sort the issue out however from what you are descrbing, if there is no boot or display it is highly likely the motherboard and/or the CPU is faulty

I would recommend that you book the PC into a reputable PC repair shop if the above does not work

If this has been useful please leave postive feedback/vote/testimonial - Thank You Again

Emachine t3882 will not boot

there is a big possibility that your System fan is damaged or worst is that it's your CPU fan that is not working properly. If you can still enter the bios by pressing F2, try to check your settings and disable fan control for the system fan. If the problem persist then you need to replace the CPU Fan.

Hope this helps.
Please vote if it does. Thanks!

Computer won't power up

the wiring isnt the problem i dont think, as the system wouldnt have started in the first place, the message would have read NTLDR not found, this means that the processor cannot find the system files to load windows and that there is either a hard drive fault or a system fault. If you can get into the bios you need to change the first boot device to cdrom and start the system up using your XP disc and do a system repair.
