Bleed brakes

There are a couple youtube videos on bleeding lines that will help you out. In a nut shell though you have to go to each wheels bleeder valve and loosen it while pressure is being applied to brakes slowly. As the pressure is applied either air or fluid will come out. When you get nothing but fluid you are done at that wheel. tighten bleeder screw and and move to the next. After each wheel is bled you need to fill up the brake fluid again. Now this is just a nutshell explanation and you NEED TO WATCH THE VIDEO for full details on how this is done and to understand it. Go to youtube and type in brake bleeding. They will come up.

I bought avid juicy ultimate front and rear brake set no upper clamp to secure brake to handlebar, match maker setup was used. How or where do I find oem clamp?

I am assuming you are looking for the clamp portion of the brake lever.

If you do a google search for the following you can find several options on-line, or go into your local bike shop and have them order for you, they may even have in stock if they do alot of work with Hydraulic brakes.

Search: Avid Juicy Brake Lever Clamp or Avid Hydraulic lever clamp.

Here is a link as an example of a result.

Avid Juicy five system leaking fluid

Your brake failed and you need to take it to a good bicycle repair shop in your area. Hydraulic brakes on bicycles are not easy to self service as you need specialized tools and the proper replacement parts.

Bought a set of avid juicy seven ultimate brakes,i squeezed the brake lever and now the pads are shut tight how do i slacken them off again!

take the wheel out insert a very large flat bladed screw driver up into where the rotor would sit and lever the pads back in very gently with the screw driver.

if this does not shift them they will need re-built by a Sram bike shop.
