Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

Not printing i bought my kodak easyshare printer 3 days ago i printed 1 black and white copy and one photo now it says printer head missing or not installed correctly what do i do

Clean the printhead, then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Printhead Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
Is the Demo printout giving the same result?
If so, you may need to replace the printhead. This is a very common problem with this model. Call Kodak, they will send you a new print head, if the unit is under warranty.

My Kodak easy share 5300 won't print black. I have clean the head and still have the problem.


Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.

When it prints black cant hardly see,if i print a color and black and white you cant see black print


Common error for Printhead that some colors on your printout are missing.
1. Clean printhead twice press menu button> select clean printhead> select basic/deep clean
2. Test Print Press photo and copy button at the same time for atleast 10 sec. or until it prints
3. Reseat the printhead Simple remove the inkcartridges and the printhead close the printer access door without the printhead. Open the printer access door put the printhead and the inkcartridges back. Then close the printer access door. DO TEST PRINT if still missing colors
4. Replace printhead Contact Kodak AiO support line at 1 800 421 6699

I bought new ink for photo printing. On the printer it won't let me push the photo button only the copy and scanner one. When I print photos it is black and white and barely see the picture


For that problem kindly try doing the ff:

* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing
* Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again
* if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead

No black!!

Kodak 3500 wont print photos the way they should be

I had similar problem. Kodak suggest replacing the printer head. My printer is only 1 yr. old so I phoned Kodak (0870 2430270 - option1) and they are sending me a new printer head.

Black ink won't print.


My printer worked fine since April but this week, I could not print. Thought my ink had dried up although I only replaced it just before christmas.

Bought new ink, installed it and still nothing. Calibrated, cleaned etc. etc. re-installed the disk to do maintenance and after several frustrating hours trying to fix it, I called my local Staples, the store at which I purchased this printer to ask for help.

First of all he said, what printer is it, black or white. I responded white to which he said okay that identifies the model for me. I am sorry to tell you that Kodak has acknowledged a problem with their print heads and have sent us several to replace the faulty ones. I said lovely, I wished I had known that several frustrating hours ago and he responded that it was his understanding that Kodak was going to announce this to all registered owners via a bulletin. Unfortunately I did not get it so wasted a lot of time. He requested I come in and get the new print head or if need be bring in the printer and they would install it for me. I am pleased with the store's response but not very happy with Kodak's lack of committment to get the word out.

Printer wont print in color with Kodak EasyShare Software


When printing from EasyShare make sure to check the printer dialog to see if its in black and white mode.

Kodak 5100 black will not print


In the UK call 0870 2430270

Tell them, because they will ask you to:

You have removed and reseated Black Cartridge

Carried Out Printhead Cleaning

Carried Out Calibration Test, and Black is missing

Did a Test Print (Press Photo & Copy together) and NO BLACK

and they will send a New Print Cradle overnight.

I also complained about wasting ink on multiple tests and got a new pack of ink as well.

Print out a demo sheet. Press copy and photo at the same time. If the black isn't printing on this demo sheet, (the eyes on the two kids at the top are all white), you need a new printhead. contact kodak tech support. 18004216699. Option 1
