Press the menu key on the remote on on the tv itself. Look for the menu option that says "setup" or Video Adjust, or something of the like.  It should give you options like: color, tint, sharpness, etc.
Just browse through the menu to see how yours is setup.
Hope this helps.

Problem black and white how to adjust the color.

First check whether you have set to the correct standard NTSC, PAL etc.

If confusing set it to AUTO. All you can try in the menu mode. Try adjusting color if the color adjustment is set low. Try different channel. Try DVD .

If the color still not there, it is a problem from the chromo control circuit.

Colors are off on the TV. When I try to adjust the contrast and brightness, etc from the menu, either everything is orange or green or yellow.

Contrast and brightness won't fix it.You are on the right path though. You need to search around for a color adjustment. You should have numbered scales for all 3 primary colors to adjust. It should also be somewhere under the picture option.Let me know if you need better instructions.Good luck!

The TV will not let you set brightness, contrast, color or tint in the preset modes like Vivid, Movie, Standard etc. Look for a mode that says custom, user etc..
