Most vacs have a reset button by the coard where coard goes in to the housing there is a small pin hole about the size of a ink pin insert til it ckiks ,but there mak be dust obstructing vents causing it to over heat always unplug proir to working on any mechanical or electrical device ane it yuo tahe it apart put ti back togather prior to powering it up.
Just pulled mine apart and the bearing on the belt side is toast.
In the past five years I have had several items fail due to less then optimal bearings. Including a transmission in a Vibe and a front load washing machine.
If the solution chamber is full, there might be a clog in
a screen,or a bad pump,which circulates the fluid.
You might have to take the vacumm apart,if everything looks good from the outside. Good luck.
Looks like there's an interchanged wires in your vacuum. Both the motor and the powerhead must go together. Check it up. Leave the motor wiring connection intact. Just tinker and check the powerhead wiring connection .
You shouldn't need to remove the cord just to put a new plug on. Just cut the end off about 2 inches back, strip the outer insulation and the wire ends and install the new plug. Make sure there are no stray strands of wire hanging out from under the screws. I always solder the ends, so that I am dealing with a solid wire rather than twisted strands.
i have replaced vacumm belts before .. Normally it is located underneath..flip over the vacumm unscrew some screws.. open the cover..youll see a large roller pin type object remove it carefully noting how it is placed..pull it out.. and replace the belt...you can also clean off the debris while doing this..an added plus..for vacumm maintenace..
PLease indicate whether this has helped you at all ..Thank You
