Remote code for silo digital tv on dish network

SOURCE: RCA L32HD31R/Dish Network Remote Code Problem

The word from RCA technical support is that the remote for the L32HD31R operates on a different frequency and there is currently NO universal remote on the market that will work with the set. They say that they have plans to market a universal remote and that they are working with other manufactuers of remotes but there is no resolution or time frame available. In short, you will have to use two remotes and keep checking the RCA website for a breakthrough.

I'm not sure that I would have bought the TV if I'd known.

Hi L. Pruett, my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and withthe Durabrand TV there are a couple of codes we do have for that TV. The threedigit codes will be 220 and 233 and what you will want to do is hold down the clearTV button until all the mode buttons light up. Our dish remotes are compatible with most TV manufacturers. On some older TV, we may not have codes that allow for full functionality for the DISH remote. I have provided the most common codes to work with the Sharp TV. The codes are: 628, 605, 740, 591, and 606. I have also provided instructions on programming the remote to the TV.

Remotes: Basic (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On
  2. Press and Hold the TV Power button for three seconds until the LED flashes
  3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
  4. Press OK. Note: The LED will flash three times.
  5. Test functionality with the TV
  6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

TV 2 remote, have to use the TV remote instead of Dish remote for the volume control
You will need to program your dish remote to your tv, find the 3 digit code for your tv and on your dish remote press the TV button till all lights light up at the top of the rem, then enter the 3 digit tv code and then press pound. this will now programm that rem to your tv. be sure to press the SAT button to put back into SAT mode to operate your Dish programming.
