Super Nintendo video out problem

Ok I use my SNES very often, I just got a new game and popped it in to test it. Once I turned it on it played however the colors are all wrong and there are yellow lines running horizonlly. Now I have not changed anything as far as the set up. I am using a S-video cable so I hooked it up with RF and same problem. The sound and game runs perfect just the video is bad. What could be wrong with it and can it be fixed?

If it is just that game, it is probably just dirty. Try cleaning the game.

I'm guessing the game is bad as the other games are all still working, right ?

Can you try the game on someone else's system ?

i to love the snes, i suggest to get a wii, softmod it, then install all your favorite snes games on it via wads. all your games will show up as channels on the wii and they play flawlessly. (no lagg) all you need is a classic controller or gc controller

BROKEN adapter PLUG IN ON SUPER NINTENDO

The dc jack where you plug in the ac adaptor is worn out which is why it is chipping and also why you can't make a good enough connection for the ac adaptor so you can turn on the Super Nintendo.

What needs to happen is your SNES needs to have the old dc jack taken off and a new one soldered on.

If you can find another broken SNES that has a good working dc jack then take if off of that one and solder it onto yours and your SNES will work like new.

Extensively tested but unresponsive SNES controllers

Well it could be the controllers but its probably that one of the wires have gone bad in the super nintendo. Maybe try replacing. Just and idea though.

SUPER SCOPE SNES

Super Scopes are NOTORIOUS for breaking down, losing calibration and whatnot.

As of such, there are no listed ways of fixing a super scope. You'll just have to buy a new one.

Super Nintendo games start but levels don't

try blowing inside the game cartridge and then the slot the game inserts into. I had this problem on my snes with some games and this helped. Other to that it may be the console is on its way out.

Ebay sell some really cheap snes consoles now. I picked one up for £15.00 with games.
